Acoustimac Low Frequency Bass Trap DMD 4' x 2' x 4" STONE CORNER

I'm just an average homeowner with a love of good movies and some fine stereo. Wanted to start treating my great/theater room for sound correction. The right and only place for my main towers is in the corner, and the built-in cabinetry creates a corner box on both sides making SBIR a problem with several low frequencies somewhere in the 300-900 Hz ranges, at least according to the calculators I have and what my ears tell me. This particular bass-trap product has a very adequate NCR across that range, and fits the corner perfectly. I chose the corner as the most likely best bang-for-the-buck since my first reflection points are vastly different on each side, and I get great wave decay due to the open ceiling (20 ft.) and back wall distance (18 ft.), and it's a trial and error project. I now have noted some recovered bass notes that were (wavelength) cancelled without the treatment, so it was a good start. After running a correction cycle on the receiver, I can run the mains on large and drop the sub cut-offs down to 60 or 80 Hz. I seem to be getting more 'fill-in' from the surrounds as well. So, yes, I'm a believer. BTW, I didn't use the Z-clip wall mounts and simply made 'feet' from 2" PVC pipe couplings that stand near each wall and each trap settles on top perfectly balanced and flush with everything.

These are absolutely professional acoustic panels. I have ordered several of them. I will definitely be ordering more in the future as needed. They make the room sound great.

I love Acoustimat! And found their DMD fabric to be a cut above most other brands. I didn’t find the z clips to be very useful, but it was fairly simple to cut some pieces of wood and screw some eye bolts in. The frames are more solid than any other brand. Would recommend!

Great quality. Arrived well packaged. They included way too many screws for installation. But better to have more than less I guess 😄

Really helps to quiet the room of background noises, allowing one to hear delicate sounds never audible before. Should have ordered this product sooner. Very well made and looks great on the wall.
