Blown away by this product. Let me give you my life story.Like a lot of people tartar snuck up on me. I would brush my teeth but probably not very well. I didn't bother to floss or use mouth wash. I'd eat a lot of junk.I haven't been to the dentist in years for a few reasons. I never enjoyed it, took too much time, didn't like talking to dentists, etc. Covid obviously did not help.My teeth never looked amazing but I thought they were OK enough. Over the years I could tell there was some tartar buildup but I didn't think it was that big a deal.The other day I decided to take a photo of the inside of my mouth and I was shocked and disgusted at how far the tartar had grown without me even realising. Not only was there a hard edge on most of the teeth but one was fully covered along the surface. See the pic.I still don't like going to the dentist but I thought this is too far. I was gonna book an appointment because I always believed that tartar can't be removed at home. Until I stumbled across this product by accident and saw all the positive reviews.I figured hey it looks like it costs even less than seeing a hygienist so why not? Saves time and money and I can do it again if I need.And let me tell you, I am blown away by how good this thing is.First it's very easy to use. Basically just point and click. The machine does all the work on the tartar and it can't hurt your gums or tooth unless you stab it in your mouth like a cave man.The device does not vibrate or make any noise when you turn it on. That's normal. As soon as the metal makes contact with the tartar it comes to live.Just keep buzzing away at the tartar and watch it melt and crack away. I got whole chunks of the stuff off.I was there for an hour just buzzing away in front of the mirror until I achieved the effect you can see in the new picture. My teeth feel incredible. I've not felt them before because of all the tartar.If you have tartar, get this thing and destroy it. You won't regret it. I feel so much cleaner!

The back side of all my lower teeth were pretty shameful to be honest (I didn’t photograph as I was too embarrassed) but with quite buckled teeth, they are so tightly packed together, I’d never been able to floss well and plaque just built up over the years.My dentist recommended I book in for 2-3 hygienist appointments to get rid of the build up gradually, but even privately, there’s no appointments available for months and I’m very nervous of them as its alway hurt me when they’ve tried removing in the past with handheld tools.I came across this tool as I’m always looking at things to help my teeth, read the reviews and thought for the price (£26) it might at least help a little, but if I’m honest, I didn’t really have that much hope as I had years of build up.I am genuinely astounded, I took my time, read the instructions and used a bendable selfie light to illuminate the area better.There are 3 settings, but after trying all 3, I didn’t notice a lot of difference, so I stuck to the highest setting. You cannot accidentally hit gum as it just stops when soft tissue is identified, so unlike metal scrapers you can’t actually hurt yourself.There are 2 attachments, both are handy, depending on which part of the tooth you’re focusing on (it’ll make sense when you get the item)It’s super simple to get working, not too technical and was already fully charged.Just a tip: if you have poor eyesight, you might need a trusted friend to help as it’s quite hard seeing the finer details inside your own mouth.I spent 40 minutes, carefully going over each lower tooth and they are genuinely immaculate, every bit of rock hard plaque is gone. I don’t actually get where it goes, as I didn’t end up with hard lumps in my mouth, but it’s so clear, I can actually get floss between most of them.I brushed well afterwards and swilled with mouthwash just to flush out any debris.It doesn’t remove staining on teeth, just hardened plaque, but if this is something you’ve struggled with and tried dental washes and toothpaste, I really can’t recommend this enough.I don’t think it’ll be something I’ll need to use often as plaque doesn’t build up overnight, but for under £30 it really is one of the most helpful, genius things I’ve bought and I actually feel so much cleaner and fresh. I’m thrilled to bits.Hope this helps someone :)

Before I go any further I must say I have years of dental nurse experience so although the instructions are for ages 12 and up, I will confess I have an 11 year old autistic kid that is really averse to tooth brushing. We’ve tried everything. Every possible combination of brushes and paste. Unfortunately on our last 6 monthly visit to the dentist she was very concerned about the levels of hard plaque around his back teeth, damaging his gums. We’ve worked so hard to build a trusting relationship with the dentist but for a full scale and polish with all the noise and water and suction, I can’t even think about it. As an ex dental nurse I figured I’d at least try and prepare him for some of the sounds and feelings. Oh my word. What an amazing bit of kit. The noise bothered him to begin with (high pitched ultrasonic sound) but a pair of ear buds and his favourite songs he was fine. It was completely painless for him, despite his gums bleeding a little, which is normal when a person neglects their oral hygiene. We’ve now managed to reach a point over a couple of 5 minute sessions where the dentists job just got 90% easier for our next appointment and he also now knows what to expect. Battery life was amazing, no sound unless it’s in contact with the plaque, gentle and love the different settings. We used the comfort setting which was tough enough to remove hard plaque but gentle enough around the gums.

Removes Tartar build up fairly quickly I used the strong mode forgot to take before and after photos but rest assured that if you have buildup between your teeth I now have gaps. It’s like I’ve been to the dentist but I haven’t paid £200 for it. Used flat end to clean front of teeth to remove stains worked ok, but I spent max 10 mins doing it all. If you want more perfection spend more time. Much recommended for In between dentist check ups. 😍 battery life is ok. Easy to use. Only turns on when touching your teeth.
