Natural Soy 125 (415) Wax: 10 pound bag

Have been using 415 soy wax for several years. Wax quality and melting point has been consistent.VERY pleased to see bag is now heated sealed in addition to the resealable closure. No more loose flakes floating around in the shipping container .

It comes in 10 bags (each bag can melt into 2 8oz. candle jars). It melts nicely and works great with additional scents. My only qualm is that it arrived on a hot day and was placed in the direct sun by my door and had I not been home it all would have melted inside the packaging. Regardless, will be ordering again.

I did pure soy, soy/paraffin, soy/coconut and a soy/paraffin/coconut blends. All turned out beautifully. The pure soy set with no issues what so ever. The other 2 I learned to hold back enough wax to be able to fill tunnels and smooth out the tops. A few first attempts had to be tweaked for the blends. So anticipate needing to get blends perfected for shrinkage and dips/tunnels. An excellent product if you know YOU are the reason for failure, not the product. It’s no different than a baker needing to learn the new oven. Don’t expect something new to YOU, to work the same as the item you switched from.

This was my first use of soy wax. I've been using beeswax for all of my wax melts but when I wanted to begin making candles, I wanted to use something a bit more cost-effective and this fits the bill. I like the scent that the soy has naturally; it's a nice smell but it's not so strong that it will overpower your sense of smell or affect your candles if you decide to add fragrance to them. I find fragrance adheres pretty well to this wax and it's easy to pour. I haven't had much trouble with it cracking or having a sinkhole form in my first layer of wax. It also takes wax dye quite well and you get a good idea of what color you'll end up with when you do the small test of coloring the wax and letting a little bit of it cool on a piece of paper.

I love this wax. It melts easily, takes scents very well, and burns completely. I have been using candles in my bedroom and living room for years. I find the scents help relax me and when I'm stressed or my blood pressure is up I have found aroma therapy works wonders for me. I've tried incense, Potpourri, scented oil and such. But something about the candles and the flame just relax me. The problem I had with mass-produced candles is that even the ones that claim to be heavily scented were too mild to my sense of smell. I spent too much time around and near diesel fumes that I have a very poor sense of smell now. So I started making my own candles. I tried many different waxes before I found this one. I tried beeswax, paraffin wax, and gel wax. I was never pleased with the results. Many waxes are what are called "dual pour" waxes. Where the wax actually shrinks when solidifying so you have to add additional wax to the candle after the first pour hardens. This soy wax is a single pour wax. What you see when liquid is what you get when solid. Now I do not bother to color my candles, white wax works fine for me. However I did make a few for family where I played around with coloring and this wax does take color well. The "candle colors dye block" by candlemakers store work perfectly. I also use the scents by candlemakers as well. This wax takes the scent very well. When I melt 1lb of wax it will take 1oz of scented oil with no issues. However I'm told by the neighbors that they can smell me making candles from a block away. LOLAnyway I HIGHLY recommend this product.I also have done a lot of business with Candlemakers both on Amazon and off and can highly recommend them as well.

I love this wax for my candle making! It's 100% soy, so no black soot from the candles you make! I think it's a good deal, but I just started making candles, so I'm still doing some shopping around for prices. Good start though and I would recommend this.
