Apparently a Chinese company bought the original product. Not available at any plumber supply and the catalog numbers changed. However, a careful look to ensure match and this (hot and cold pieces) fit and worked perfectly

works great, stopped the leak. But how did we get from 10 cent faucet washers to $20 cartridges? Seems strange to me.

Great replacement for hard to find cartridges
Great replacement for Altmans faucet (which seem to have been bought out by a foreign company) and the parts are no longer available or very hard to come by. Nice fit and finish. Exact replacement for factory cartridges. So far so good.
