The base/holder is made of good solid metal so it should be well suited for high heatThe skewers are made of thin flexible metal which you want because the meat needs to cook fastAnd the thinning flat blade makes it easier to form the meat around itThe carrying case is handy but make sure to dry off the steel before storingNow I just need to get some good kebab recipes but you can also skewer chicken or meats that are easy to push onto the blade

The skewer set comes in a nicely made heavy-duty storage bag with compartments for the skewers and the holder racks. The grooves in the rack's design allow for the sword skewers to be placed securely at varying angles for proper and even cooking. The racks are well-machined and sturdy. The wide sword shape prevents the food from rotating on the skewer. The skewers are also sturdy and well-made. My only criticism is the mounting of the wooden handles. There is a small hole that may allow for food to be deposited.Overall, I am very pleased with the set of skewers and holders and look forward to using them for our next kebab or picanha steaks cookout. I'll update if the hole in the handle is an issue.
