Honest review bought at full price
I'm really not digging the 'I bought this item at a discount for my honest opinion' fad going on around amazon. So I'd like to start this review by stating I paid full price for these glasses, so this is really my honest opinion. My old pair of sunglasses (rayban wayfarer 2) took an unfortunate dive into the lake this 4th of July, so now I'm looking for some less expensive but still quality sunglasses. This review will mostly be me comparing them to my old raybans, which I feel could be helpful since they are basically the standard for build qualityMy first impression when I got these glasses was how light they were. They only weigh a few grams. I'm used to my hefty and solid plastic raybans, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The wood saves a ton of weight since it's full of air, and the fibers in the bamboo actually make the arms stronger than plastic in my opinion.I was worried the arms would be huge and thick like other wooden glasses. I was pleased to see they're almost identical to the raybans and not blocky at all.The hinges are large and strong like raybans, but there is some wiggle in the arms. I've notice the screws holding the bamboo to the hinges can't be tightened too much or they risk stripping the wood, so I'm considering dropping some epoxy in there to stiffen it up.The lenses are great! And really that's what sunglasses are for, right? My old raybans weren't polarized (I already shelled out 130 for them, I couldn't afford the nicer lenses), but these lenses far surpass my old glasses. There's hardly any glare on other cars and they don't change the colors of the world drastically like some glasses. The actual lens frames (the black part) felt like bamboo at first, so I was impressed with how nicely they were carved and left wondering how they did it. Upon further inspection I found injection points hidden at the arm joints, confirming they are in fact plastic. I'm okay with them being plastic, but I'm a tad concerned with how light weight the plastic is. The density feels similar to the bamboo, not the high density stuff raybans are made off. It is very easy to bend, so I'm careful opening and closing the arms, but I obviously haven't pushed it, so I can't vouch for how strong they actually are. I also really like that they went for a matte black finish, I think shiny plastic looks tacky.I also have some concerns about the bamboo. I know that wood expands and contracts with water, so I dont know how much that will effect the arms. I'm cautious about getting them wet, so that can be a problem for the lake/beaches. They likely sealed the wood, but I'm still not sure. The size are very similar to raybans. I've noticed a lot of wayfarer imitators make the lenses huge. These fit my face very nicely.Overall I'm very pleased with these glasses. They are very stylish and I've gotten more compliments from them in the past week than I did after years of owning raybans. I'll be happy if they last a year before something breaks, and will be impressed if they last 2 years. But at 35 dollars, I consider it worth the risk.

Had these for years
Finally giving these a review, years later, they’re great, durable, not scratched, came in a nice wood box.

Great buy
Glasses are great! have owned many over my lifetime (from expensive designer, to knock offs) and I would have to say that these by far have been the best. They are so light weight I forget I am wearing them most of the time and the the clarity is insane...! It's like your vision was with 4k technology... But the one problem I have noticed after having the glassed for about 6 weeks is that there are these streaky fade marks making there way across the lenses. I am not certain if this is fading or stress fractures..??? I live in Arizona and the summer is brutal, so maybe these lenses aren't made to withstand the heat.... Other than that I have been pretty happy with this purchase and get many compliment on the design and feel. I may message the seller to find out more about the lens streak and update with more info as I get it.

Very well crafted shades!
These are very nice shades. I love the way they feel on my head, very nice and light fit ;)I have to admit, I'm a bit of a sunglasses freak and have a few pairs of Persols, Raybans, and Oakleys to name a few. As far as overall quality and design go, I would say these are pretty darn close to the Luxottica branded sunglasses. These are certainly the nicest sub $150 lenses I own.I plan to purchase a few more pairs as my fiancee steals these from me all the time, and they are great enough and priced well enough to keep pairs at home, car, work, etc. They really do look great on both men and women.A added bonus is that these come with not only a very nice hard case, but also a nice thick smaller carry bag. I will say the solid wood case is much higher in quality than any case I ever received from any Luxottica Branded pair of sunglasses that I have ever purchased. Many kudos GOWOOD!

Style and clarity on a budget.
I love these because they're cheap! I grabbed a pair before going to Hawaii because the polarized lenses helped to see rocks in the water a little better and didn't mind if they broke or got lost on the trip. Didn't want to lose my wayfarers. Honestly i don't even wear my folding non polarized wayfarers anymore these feel better not as tight and better clarity. Nice box. Be careful cleaning them the lenses pop out pretty easily and my first pair the plastic around the lense snapped randomly one day just from the heat in my car. Wasn't wearing them just came back to broken glasses. All in all though for the price they're worth it.

The well made bamboo box they come in is a great first impression
Very impressed! I'm am professional custom wood worker, and very much so a perfectionist. So, you can count on it that I am holding these glasses to a very high standard. They were shipped very promptly. The well made bamboo box they come in is a great first impression. Wooden arms are certainly made with quality walnut, which can be tough to find now a days. Lenses are clear and polarization is done well. My only critiques are the intentional curve to the arms is a little much, making them a little tight above the ears. I just had to relieve the curve slightly with an iron and steam and all is well. Also, the wood seems to be unfinished and a matte finish would be a nice touch. They are definitely made with quality in mind and held to great standards!! Love them!

Great quality sunglasses for the money
The sunglasses arrived as advertised contained in a wooden hard carrying case, with the soft carrying bag inside. I liked that they came with a small polarization test strip that had text that's only really visible when you're looking through a polarized lens. The glasses are very sturdy and you can tell they're well built. They look great! I noticed that the wood on one side wasn't as dark as I expected it to be, but since wood has so much variation it's to be expected and doesn't look bad at all. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Bellissimi occhiali 👓

aquisto medioocre

Sehr gut verarbeitete Sonnenbrille!
