I totally bought these for a friend. They work - according to that friend who is definitely not me.
I didn't really want to write this review because I can't admit to the world that, at tender times in my life, I have been afflicted by GAS...mostly at the hands of sugar-free candy, which is deceptively and repeatedly alluring to this T1 diabetic even though I know it DESTROYS my poor stomach. Or maybe a riotous stomach every now and then is just another one of stupid Old Age's cruel pranks? BUT, I also feel like I owe it to the world to let everyone know that this stuff works with no ill-side effects or need for caution. So, instead of writing a review and admitting all of this to you, I decided to write y'all a limerick about a completely fictional woman:There once was a woman aghastThat her digestive system went sometimes on blast. She swallowed these pills, and they cured all her illsAnd she was glad that the tootin' was past.

It works and the price is right
This is great for stomach gas, since the docs can't really give me anything else -- except want me to go on the "baby food diet". If you've ever had to spend a couple of days in the hospital for chest pains (more chest pain ER visits are for gas related issues than actual cardiac issues -- I was one of them). The off brands like this one are much cheaper than the name brands, but work equally as well. It's important to keep the price low as Amazon is helping us with this, because Obama and ObamaCare is taking away your ability to use your FSA cards on these kinds of items on December 31, 2010. Meaning it will be an effective 25% increase in price because you'll be using post-tax money to buy your products.I'm glad I found a great source for this great product.

Does what it's supposed to do. Watch the packaging.
This product does what it is supposed to do. It is basically the same thing you would get in the name brand--green, football-shaped softgels, containing 125 mg of simethicone each. Note that this product does not prevent gas; it merely helps keep the gas that does form from being trapped and causing discomfort. If you are concerned about the packaging, I am not sure there is a way to tell which you will get. The picture shows the box that contains the cards where the individual softgels must be pushed through the foil backing. The product description doesn't specify what packaging is provided, but the product dimensions are three numbers (which would describe a box). On the store shelves, this packaging form has been replaced by a bottle containing the same number of softgels. What doesn't help is that both packaging forms have the same UPC. As this transition occurs, it will be likely that it will be less predictable which package form is sent when ordering online, at least for some time. As it is, I wanted the push-through cards, as they are convenient for taking a few softgels (not a whole bottle) along when traveling.

Yup.
This stuff does what it is supposed to. Relieves bloat and pressure, and all that pain! One thing... A common misconception. These are not to keep you from farting. They are to MAKE you fart.See, the problem arises when the gas in your insides turns into a jillion tiny bubbles. A foam. You can't pass foam! Or at least you can't TRUST passing foam. LOLThis breaks down the walls of all those tiny bubbles in your guts, and turns it into a passable form of gas. Relieves the bloat, the pressure and the pain.

Necessity during PeriMenopause
I am in my late 40's and I have been having an unbelievable amount of bloating and gas for the past several months and I recently learned that when our hormones are fluctuating wildly in the years before Menopause called PeriMenopause women suffer with increased water retention and gas and bloating.I have tried several gas pills including chewables, Phazyme, Gas X and these generic Simethicone by Equate work the best and are more economical.I also like that if I am already in bed, I can take these without worrying about exposing my teeth to sugar which occurs with the chewables.

It's good, but not for the price I paid
Truthfully, when mailing costs are figured in, this is a product that is better purchased at your local Wal-Mart. That being said, though, if the price is good, and there's no mailing costs, I think it works as well as any other brand of gas pills I've used.
