Gardens and Gardeners of the Ancient World: History, Myth and Archaeology Paperback – March 31, 2016

The topic is researched well-enough, but it’s a whirlwind tour of history. I have a good background, but it could be frustrating to those who don’t because so much is left out. It’s a bit on the dry side, but she moves so quickly thru time, you don’t get bogged down. Good plant lists. My biggest complaint is there was obviously no copy editor. Farrar should ashamed to let anything go to print with the capitalization and punctuation so appallingly ignored.

Excellent stories, encouraged me to construct and ancient Greek garden zone!
