A well written and illustrated book for anyone interested in the history of West Point
The book is an easy to read, well researched book, with plenty of illustrations and photographs that add greatly to its utility. I spent four years as a cadet attending the Catholic Chapel at West Point and several years as a member of the Cadet Catholic Choir. I learned a lot from this book, even about the time period I was there. While the history is well done, I particularly enjoyed the section on "Most Holy Trinity Chapel in Photographs" showing the various aspects of the chapel, what they mean, and how they fit into the overall design. Well done, Jay!

A Beautifully Illustrated Book
Duty, Honor, Faith & Country is a beautifully illustrated and written book that is a testimony to the author's dedication and love for the historical Most Holy Trinity Chapel on the grounds of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The Chapel and its ministry hold an important and sacred place in West Point lore and have graced the lives of many cadets, faculty, staff and their families over decades of service. Anyone with an interest in the history of West Point, its architecture and its landscape, will find this book fills a significant void in understanding the relationships between the Academy and its commitment to religious freedom and worship.

An important part of West Points history.
I’m proud to say that Jay Joyce, the author of this great history of the Catholic Chapel at The United States Military Academy at West Point, is both a friend and a classmate. His book on the Catholic Chapel at West Point is amazingly researched and an informative look into the Chapels beginning and its place in the Academy’s history. As a new cadet during Beast Barracks (aka New Cadet Barracks), I would trek down to the Chapel with other Catholic classmates to enjoy a Coke and cookies while escaping from the upper classmen for a couple of hours.Great memories.Thank you Jay.

Captivating description of the chapel that meant so much to West Point cadets
Having worked at the Catholic Chapel in West Point as organist and choir director while Mr. Joyce was a cadet in the chapel choir, I thoroughly enjoyed his description of the chapel and its colorful history. It brought back many fond memories. One of the priests who worked there called it "Camelot," which is how I have always remembered it. And Mr. Joyce's detailed research served to remind me of how special that place really was for so many generations of cadets.
