With unreliable wifi, I needed a way of connecting my 2015 MacBook Air to the modem. This does the job at a great price. Small enough to pack with my accessories, and the bonus of a 4-port USB hub, and both USB and USB-C connectivity.

This USB ethernet adaptor and hub comes packaged in a simple blue cardboard which looks more like something containing prescription medicine.Inside is a resealable plastic bag containing the adapter. There are no instructions, but really there's little to say. If you're ordering this, you'll know how to use it.The case is aluminium with a slightly curved rectangular profile. The short captive USB cable is at one end, and the gigabit ethernet port at the other. There are three USB ports on the top surface. Although the profile is smooth, the ends have been cut without any rounding-off, so have a slightly sharp finish which could scratch any other equipment with which it comes into contact.The ethernet port is driven by a Realtek USB GbE family controller - a popular choice for external ethernet support. Most OSs won't need a special driver, but it's a well-supported controller if you do need to download one. There are the usual two activity LEDs built-in to the port to indicate connectivity and activity.The three USB ports are true USB 3.0, with tests confirming their speed. There's no external power input, so your choice of USB devices is limited by whatever power your host computer provides.The adaptor comes with a native USB-C plug at then end, together with a removeable USB-A adaptor. È progettato per aggiungere una porta ethernet a dispositivi che, per motivi di spazio, spesso ne sono privi.Il design è elegante e pratico: si tratta di un parallelepipedo di dimensioni 89 x 23 mm e spessore 17.5 mm, con un peso di 48 g. L'involucro è in alluminio e il cavo non rimovibile che esce dall'adattatore è lungo circa 15 cm, con una guaina in gomma liscia e un connettore USB Type C. Un adattatore rimovibile da Type C a Type A è incluso, permettendo così la connessione a periferiche con entrambe le porte.L'adattatore presenta tre porte USB 3.0 sulla parte superiore e una porta gigabit ethernet sulla parte anteriore, dotata di LED per link e attività. Le porte USB Type A sono ben distanziate tra loro, rendendo l'uso simultaneo agevole.Ho testato l'adattatore su un laptop con porta USB-C 3.1 e ha funzionato perfettamente, aggiungendo tre porte USB Type A e una porta gigabit ethernet al sistema. La connessione ethernet è stabile e le velocità di trasferimento hanno raggiunto valori prossimi al gigabit al secondo. Le porte USB 3.0 hanno offerto velocità di trasferimento fino a 420 MB/s con SSD e flash drive ad alta velocità.Il chipset è stato riconosciuto come Realtek 8153 per l'ethernet e Genesys Logic per le porte USB. Non è stato necessario installare driver aggiuntivi su Windows 11, Linux e MacOS.In conclusione, si tratta di un prodotto di buona qualità, utile per ampliare le porte di connessione di molti dispositivi.

Al sacarlo de su envoltorio me llamó la atención la calidad de la construcción, todo muy bien rematado y con buen diseño, sencillo y elegante.Simplemente una carcasa de aluminio pulido en forma de stick con los 4 puertos usb en la casa superior, una conexión RJ45 en un extremos y en el otro un cable y la conexión usb-C y unida a ella un adaptador usb-C ➡️ usb-A, un las dos clavijas usb están rematada con una carcasa también en aluminio. El grosor del hub es poco más de un milímetro superior a lo que ocupa la clavija del RJ45.Lo he probado tanto en un portatil con Windows 10, como en un móvil Xiaomi con Android 14 y funciona a las mil maravillas con los 2 dispositivos. Con el portatil a velocidades superiores a los 950Mb, tanto de subida como de bajada, con el Xiaomi funciona a 250Mb.Me llama la atención que en el portatil según ponga el adaptador a usb-A en un sentido o en otro con respecto al usb-C varía y mucho la velocidad de transferencia, trabajando en una posición a max. 300Mb y en la otra a más de 950Mb 🙀Por el precio que tiene me parece un accesorio de mucha calidad de construcción y que cumple con creces.Me parece perfecto para utilizarlo para viaje, pues resulta super compacto.No he comentado nada de los puertos USB pues funcionan perfectos, tal y como se podría esperar. Lo que me parece significativo es lo bien que funciona como conexión de red por cable con el tamaño que tiene.Me encanta tanto por diseño como por funcionalidad. 100% recomendable.

Leider haben viele Notebooks heute keinen LAN-Anschluss mehr und WLAN ist – gerade in der Großstadt mit hoher WLAN-Dichte nicht immer sehr zuverlässig. Deshalb habe ich diesen USB zu Gbit-LAN Adapter bestellt. Schon mal vorab – ich bin zufrieden.Der Adapter wurde schnell und sicher verpackt geliefert. Im Lieferumfang befand sich leider keine Bedienungsanleitung.Das Design ist schlicht und funktional, und die Verarbeitungsqualität fühlt sich solide an. Das Gehäuse ist aus Aluminium mit etwas Kunststoff an den Seiten. Der Adapter ist kompakt und leicht, was ihn ideal für unterwegs macht. Der USB-C zu USB-A Adapter ist fest am Kabel angebracht, so kann er nicht verloren gehen. Achtung – hier gibt es verschiedene Versionen des Adapters – am vielseitigsten ist sicher die Variante mit dem Adapter – dann kann man USB-A und USB-C verwenden.Die Installation des Adapters war ein Kinderspiel. Die Kompatibilität mit USB-C ist super. Einfach in den entsprechenden Anschluss gesteckt, fertig. Er wurde sofort von meinem Betriebssystem (Windows 11) erkannt, ohne dass zusätzliche Treiber erforderlich waren. Aber auch unter Windows 10 und Linux lief der Adapter sofort Problemlos. Aber toll - auch mein Tablet mit Android 12, mein Pixel mit Android 14 und mein Lenovo-Chromebook – alle liefen problemlos ohne eine Treiberinstallation. Meinen Raspberry Pi konnte ich so um eine zweite Netzwerkschnittstelle erweitern. Hier musste ich aber noch die benötigte Firmware kopieren.Bei Verwendung eines 5G-Smartphones kann man dieses auch als superschnellen Router nutzen. Die Ethernet-Verbindung unterstützt – wie WLAN – Tethering. Das ist im Notfall oder auf Reisen sehr praktisch.Praktisch ist auch - zwei LEDs zeigen den Zustand der LAN-Verbindung auf einen Blick an. Die Wärmeentwicklung bleibt selbst nach stundenlanger Nutzung minimal.Was die Internetgeschwindigkeit betrifft, so liefert der Adapter genau das, was versprochen wird. Ich erreichte konstant schnelle Geschwindigkeiten, was vor allem für die Arbeit mit großen Dateien und beim Streaming von hochauflösenden Videos gut ist. Die Verbindung ist deutlich stabiler und schneller als das vorher genutzte WLAN – auch weil in meiner unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft viele WIFI-Netzwerke aktiv sind. Der Adapter unterstützt USB 3, was für Gbit Netzwerkgeschwindigkeit mehr als ausreichend ist. USB 2.0 wird auch unterstützt – ist dann aber langsamer. Der verwendete Chipsatz wird von Realtek hergestellt.Ein zusätzlicher Nutzen ergibt sich über die Hub-Funktion, somit wird die USB-Schnittstelle nicht blockiert und man kann weitere Geräte anschließen.Fazit: Der Adapter ist eine lohnende Investition für alle, die eine stabile und schnelle Netzwerkverbindung benötigen oder auch Geräte ins Netz bringen müssen, die keine LAN-Schnittstelle haben.Leider fehlt die CE-Kennzeichnung. Auf dem Gerät selber findet sich hier nichts, auf der Verpackung war das CE-Kennzeichen aufgedruckt - eigentlich ist das so nicht zulässig. Das ist zwar nur ein Formalismus aber trotzdem sehr schade - dafür - und die fehlende Bedienungsanleitung - muss ich leider einen Stern abziehen.Insgesamt bin ich aber zufrieden mit dem Adapter. Denn funktionieren tut er sehr gut.

J'ai un Raspberry Pi Zero branché en Ethernet qui me sert à faire tourner un serveur Octoprint pour commander mon imprimante 3D. Le branchement Ethernet est fait avec un petit hub (branché sur un port USB) sur lequel est aussi branché l'imprimante.J'avais envie de le remplacer par celui-ci à cause de sa taille, il est un peu plus haut que l'autre mais 30% moins long et moins large, tout petit avec quand même le port Ethernet et 3 ports USB/A, un pour l'imprimante et les 2 autres pourront servir à brancher une caméra par exemple.Cela fonctionne parfaitement, j'ai juste eu à débrancher mon ancien hub et à mettre celui-ci.

L'involucro dell'adattatore è in alluminio. Il cavetto (non rimovibile) che fuoriesce dall'adattatore ha una lunghezza di circa 15 cm e presenta una guaina in gomma, liscia al tatto, di diametro 5 mm. Termina con un connettore USB Type C, sul quale è agganciato a cappuccio un'ulteriore adattatore, rimovibile, da Type C a Type A. In questo modo possiamo connettere l'adattatore sia a periferiche con porta USB Type C (es. tablet o laptop di ultima generazione), sia a periferiche dotate di porta USB Type A.Nella parte superiore ci sono 3 porte USB 3.0, mentre nella parte anteriore è presente una porta gigabit ethernet, ad altezza standard, dotata di due LED (link LED e activity LED) di colore giallo e verde.Le tre porte USB Type A supplementari sono disposte orizzontalmente e sono distanziate le une dalle altre di circa 20 mm.Utilizzato su un laptop dotato di porta USB-C 3.1, l'adattatore ha funzionato correttamente e ha permesso di aggiungere 3 porte USB Type A, e una porta gigabit ethernet al sistema. La connessione è risultata stabile.Il chipset è stato riconosciuto come Realtek 8153 per l'ethernet, e della Genesys Logic per la parte USB. A livello di software ha funzionato correttamente su Windows 11 e Linux, ma anche su MacOS, senza la necessità di installare dei driver supplementari.Come velocità di trasferimento, sulla porta ethernet sono state raggiunte velocità prossime al gigabit al secondo, mentre sulle porte USB 3.0, con dei dischi USB SSD veloci o flashdrive ad alta velocità, si sono raggiunti transfer rate prossimi a 420 MB/s.Complessivamente si tratta di un buon prodotto, che si rivela utile in una vasta gamma di casistiche.
