Material is more rigid than expected. They can be challenging to open and flatten the bottom.
FireKylin's kraft bags remind me of the standard mylar bags I use but without the flexibility. The material seems almost rigid due to the coating, which makes opening them to insert items and to flatten the bottom for the pouches to stand up challenging. The seal is moderately easy to open and remains closed. The window is clear and seems to be attached well without any separation from the bag itself. Overall, they seem relatively durable but I continue to prefer mylar bags for my needs.

Good Sturdy Bags you can Heat Seal
I'm pretty impressed with these. They are really tough. I put some crackers and Cheez-its in one for our chickens. Before feeding them snacks like this, I always crush them into the smallest bits I can. Usually, I'll use a mortal-and-pestle to break them up, but this time, with everything zip sealed in the bag, I just beat on it with my hand against the countertop. I was able to break up everything into tiny pieces with out ripping or damaging the bag in any way. That's pretty strong in my book.I was just typing that I don't know that the stand-up-ability is going to be a selling point for me, but then I realized just why this actually IS a good thing. The bags will be much easier to fill if they stand up on their own - and these do do that. Then, when they are filled, you can flatten them back out to to lay flat or flatish, depending on what you have in them, of course. Finally, these types of bags are not vacuum sealable (using most common home sealers), but... you CAN still HEAT seal the bag. Just get as much air out as possible, maybe even through an oxygen absorber in there, zip the bag sealed and run it through a vacuum sealer on Seal Only mode. There are two notches - one on either side - that you can then use to rip the sealed edge off when you are ready to use the contents.Yeah... I'd say that these are good for preppers and daily users alike.

Sturdy, versatile and beautiful
I’ve never gotten so much attention from the other moms before. I was buying individually packaged snacks and felt bad about the waste I was creating. These bags are awesome for dry snacks because they are reusable. The bags are quite sturdy and thick so they can take a beating in the diaper bag and still be used a few times.

Simple storage for repackaging bulk dry foods into smaller portions
I buy treats (e.g. chocolates, dried fruits, nuts) in bulk and repackage them into smaller portions to share with clients at a non-profit office where I volunteer. I like that these bags are sturdier than the plastic storage bags I typically use and that I can stand them up on a shelf in the office so that people can easily see the contents before choosing the treat they prefer. The bags reseal tightly and the top zips off cleanly (see the second photo). I do not use a vacuum sealer to create a second seal at the top, but it's nice to be able to do so.While the Kraft brown paper is nice and I would prefer white, overall I am happy with this product and give it 4* (I Like It).
