Better than expected
I got these for my elderly parents, who have very steep wood stairs. They are a thick, high quality, textured material and were easier to apply than I expected. The roller was super handy and I got all 15 done in about 15-20 minutes. You can definitely see them due to the texture, but it’s not glaringly obvious and I’d rather have safe stairs. I bet the clear version would practically disappear from view, but I opted for the textured version for extra grip.I highly recommend these for anyone looking to add some grip and safety to stairs.

Good grip!
I bought these because my older dog has a hard time going up and down our wood stairs since he has little grip. These made a huge difference in the way he gets up and down them now. He is much more confident! I also find that whether I am barefooted or in shoes, I too feel more secure on my stairs because of these. My one tiny issue is that they do kind of stick out. A lot has to do with the grain or our floors but you can’t definitely tell they are there. I’m not worried about it though. These are great.

Great safety product
We had our front porch restored and sanded down to bare wood last Fall. We just managed to get it painted before the weather turned too cold, but were not able to get the steps done. At least they were primed to protect from the weather. Finally this Spring we got around to painting them. They look beautiful but they were so smooth, I worried about slipping in wet or foggy weather. These stair tread non slip strips are just the thing we needed to feel safer. From the look of them, I thought they would appear cloudy and stand out from the dark blue of the steps. But they virtually disappear once pressed firmly onto the surface of the step. Our steps are very wide, so I used two strips per step, cutting off one rounded edge so that they would butt up against each other; they look totally seamless. I was planning to just use them on the steps themselves, but they are so invisible, I put some on the front edge of the porch as well, just for good measure. The roller works fine, but it's not as wide as the strips, so I used a hard-edged squeegee sort of thing I already had and it worked great. These strips are so economical, as well. For just a few bucks, you can feel a lot safer; that's something we have to think of more often as we age.

Strong adhesive and good appearance, IMO
We have Trex deck/stairs going into our backyard. We discovered quickly Trex provides minimal traction for our dogs, who are usually running in and out of the house on an hourly basis. We purchased these specially to help our dogs from sliding around. Works as intended. Easy to install. This is our 2nd set of similar traction pads and I like these better than our originals. You won't be able to find truly clear traction strips, and I tried. These look with their slightly crystal appearance.

Decent Grip
These treads are like textured plastic. They have some grip, but they're not as grippy as the heavy duty ones you see in public spaces that look like sandpaper. For a home, these are good. Because they have the texture on the top of the strips, it's understandable that they won't blend in 100% to the surface they're being laid on. I'm making a ramp for my dog and need some grip so that it reduces his risk of slipping off and for my peace of mind.I trimmed the strips easily with titanium scissors, lightly sanded the areas that I was going to apply the strips, let it dry, heated the strip and the ramp surface with a heat gun then mounted the strip on with the roller that was provided. So far it has stuck nicely and I haven't had any problems. It's easy to clean dirt off with some Clorox wipes despite the texture and it doesn't affect the surface.

Please Tread On Me
These stair treads really do help protect and extend the nice-looking life of your steps. They are fairly clear and therefore not so obvious that you have them down. Which is much better than having some garish-colored stair tread protectors which are screaming "Don't slip on me!" No seriously, I applied these on my indoor 5th wheel steps and feel they lived up to their hype "to protect and serve." They were easy and straight-forward to put down and looked like they were dealer-installed (which they should have been)!

Gets The Job Done
I recently got a new puppy and he fell down the steps a few times and we're thinking it's because of the hair on his paw pads and having hardwood steps. I thought if I got something to give him grip it would eliminate the falls. This is a good temporary solution! It added grip to the stairs and we have had no slips or falls since. They were very easy to put on the steps. They are staying in place and not peeling off at all. They kinda blend in with the steps and I like the look better than adding carpet. Quick and easy install to solve our issue!

Works great on wood stair treads, almost invisible
I recently had stairs remodeled, from carpeted treads to wooden ones, with a lacquer finish. They look much nicer now, but they feel somewhat treacherous, and my aging dog has a tough time negotiating the slippery steps. I hated to put anything with an adhesive backing on the beautiful wood, fearful that it would turn into a gooey mess. Not so with these clear non-slip strips- they are almost invisible when installed. My steps required strips that are 23”, so I had to cut the strips down. I cut them on a rotary cutting mat, a simple job. I used the cutoffs as templates for rounding the corners. Next, I used isopropyl alcohol to clean the wooden treads, then applied the strips one at a time. The kit comes with a roller that works pretty well, although I also used a pro-quality rubber roller with a long 18” handle just because I already had one, and it allows more leverage than the included roller. The included roller is described as rubber, but it is not- it is hard plastic. It works well, and it also allows two-handed use. Just put a little oil between the wheel and the axle to make it roll easier. If you need to roll flush to a wall, the axle ends get in the way, so cut/grind them off for better clearance. The strips are flexible and will conform to minor imperfections in the woodwork, and are almost invisible once rolled on. Put as much pressure as you can, especially on the edges and corners. Now my old dog confidently climbs the stairs up and down, and I feel safer on them even with just socks on. Good product, recommended.
