Holds the boat well
Holds our 20' Crowline perfectly in a silty bottom lake. Still small enough to fit in the bow compartment

Effective Anchoring System
I typically use a mushroom anchor for my 9' inflatable boat. Since it's a bit late in the season in the northeast to try it on the water, I headed to the beach. If you chunk it in the sand, it will land on the bottom of the anchor. (pic 1). If you pull it, it will dig in, but not very well. However, since the pull would normally be from up on the surface when anchored, I simulated a raised pull. Picture 2 shows the change in the "dig" ratio when raised (horizontal pull until you get to the line in the sand, then a 45 degree pull) - it digs a bit better when on an angle.. Testing in the water yielded a better "dig" (pics 3 & 4). Keep in mind this is only a 10# anchor, so it's not going to hold a large boat. Ideal for jet skis, small RIB's, etc. A very good value

Seems great! It's an anchor!
I ordered the 10-pound version of this anchor and couldn't be more pleased. It is vinyl coated and feels just about 10-pounds.I do a lot of small boat fishing in ponds and places that don't really have boat launches. So, this is perfect for plastic boats like mine, or kayaks, or canoes. It's not super big but yet enough weight to keep you in place even in a brisk wind. Especially with the three-pronged design versus the old mushroom type shape. This will actually dig into the bottom a little for some extra hold, but not snag you up, hopefully.Great addition to my favorite hobby and happy to have it. 5-stars!

Vinyl Coated
I will be using this anchor for my bass boat to hold me in the light breeze over a location. I don’t have a high dollar spotlock trolling motor, so this will definitely come in handy. The anchor is coated in a nice rubber vinyl which will help keep the mud off of it. The hole for the rope is nice and large, which will give me plenty of options for the rope I will use and how I will tie it on. Very nice.
