But if you are trying to keep it locked in tight, you should use something a bit sturdier. It’s a very nice item to look at but a little flimsy. I would only use it for decorative purposes.

I GIVE IT 4 STAR ONLY BECAUSE IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO ACTUALLY PUT THE SYMBOLS INTO THE LOCK PART. VISUALLY VERY SMALL ENGRAVED AND HARD TO TELL WHICH SYMBOL MATCHES THE CODE THEY GIVE.

I like the concept of an antique lock, but the screws are so tiny it took me some time to find something to screw it in without damaging it ,other then the concept is perfect wish it would have been a bit bigger but seems to be sturdy enough for what I needed to craft.

This was exceptionally easy to line up on the box and screw in. I was a little disappointed with the screws not being completely flush with the decoration, but for the price, and for what this is, that isn't really a big deal.The lock itself is a little tricky, but once you've opened it a couple times you'll have a feel for it. It should be obvious, but in case you didn't already realize, this lock and hasp is really a "for decoration only" item, since it is installed with small wood screws, it can be bypassed completely with a small screwdriver to remove the screws from either portion of the hasp, and the locking mechanism is also pretty trivial.All in all, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

I got this as a addition to some boxes I am burning and staining. I love the look and feels heavy enough. Took awhile to figure out had to open, I even had to ask for help. Some of the symbols are difficult to determine. Once I got it unlocked I left it til I put on the gift. Great for the large box 8"×10×4, but too big for the smaller ones I do

The holes are not counter sunk in the latch, so the screws aren't completely flush. It's fine though. The tumblers in the lock spin too freely and make the combination hard to set (two or three turn at once when you try to turn one). Finish is fine and nice look from 4 feet away. Obviously not a real security device.

This is a really nice little lock. It's a gorgeous design and is entirely functional. The screws are TINY, so you'll need a very small screwdriver to install it, but once you're done, they are sturdy. The key is super easy to use also. Will definitely buy this again if I ever have use for another tiny lock.

Very nice piece. Looks wonderful. A little smaller than I imagined so pay attention to the size. Difficult for me with big fingers to unlock the lock. It was fine off my box but when locked on the hasp it's hard to see the top of the lock and keep the barrels from turning or staying put as you try to aline the combination. Very cool looking though and functional.
