Fits like a true xl. 220lbs 5'4". Falls about 1 inch above the ground.The color is green in the product image, and a darker green in person... but in EVERY SINGLE PHOTO, it looks blue. Not a deal breaker but got it for Christmas photos so I wanted it to show up green for the photos. Drapes beautifully and stretches enough to be ok if I gain a few lbs/inches.It is quite thin but very good quality fabric and stitching. Wore December in Texas, 50 degrees outside and windy and it was pretty chilly for my legs. Next time I will wear thicker tights.The fabric is soft of you rub UP on it. If you rub downward it is rough, but not like the old icky feeling velvet. I highly recommend this dress. I wore it to church for a Christmas play and advent reading, but could be worn for most every event honestly.

I am at the prime time age where I'm getting invited to a lot of weddings and need multiple dresses that I can rotate throughout the season. This is perfect for the spring garden wedding I am attending.The material is nice and smooth, the stretch is averagely minimal in the waistline, and not see through at all. I would just make sure to wear nude undergarments if possible.I am 180 pounds, 5'2", and an apple body shape. I tend to go for dresses that have synching at the waist and sleeves to cover the base of my shoulders/arms. I have gotten many compliments already about how it flatters my body. This dress is extremely flattering, and gives that extra confidence boost. I’m a plus sized woman, and this dress reminded me that I do in fact have a waist. I love the length of the sleeves, the length of the dress itself, and the neck line. Not to mention, it’s so comfortable it almost feels like wearing pajamas! The material is true to description. The only thing is, I purchased the emerald green color and received more of a deep sea foam green that was more blue than green. The color is still flattering, as I’m a cool toned skin type. If you are a warm tone skin type, maybe steer clear of the emerald green color option.

I tried on 11 different velvet dresses for a Xmas party and this was the most flattering beautiful dress of all of them. I had ordered all emerald dresses and accidentally clicked teal for this one. I was sooooo disappointed at first because I really wanted emerald and it was to late to reorder. Despite the color mishap it is still a beautiful color and fit so well. I am heavy up top and this dress made my chest look beautiful with out being overly revealing. I have smaller hips and this dress helped give me more of an hourglass shape. It helped hide problem areas as well. The material is super soft, flowy with a good amount of weight to it, and has a good stretch. Comfort and beauty with this dress was top notch.

I ordered the velvet navy dress for a winter wedding and it was the perfect wedding guest dress! The fabric is nice and heavy & was very comfortable all night. The navy photographed beautifully too! I’m 5’5” 125 lbs and the XS was perfect. I’m typically a size small but was glad I sized down

The color (blue) was as pictured.Higher quality material than I expected, heavy and made the dress hang well.Sizing was off for me.I’m a solid size 6, 4 at times depending on brand.Size medium was way too big (felt more like a large on me) and small was too small.

This dress is perfect for a fall/winter wedding! The arms are flattering because they are flowy. I usually don’t look good with a flowy short sleeve, but these sleeves were perfect. The V cut in the front was great - not too low so that I was showing too much cleavage and not too high that it would look matronly. I wore this dress to a friend’s wedding on a cold day in October and it kept me nice and warm. While dancing the night away, I was a little warm, but that’s to be expected! This dress feels formal with a great price tag. Two of my friends already own it because of how amazing it is from when I bought and wore it.

This fabric is really buttery and soft. Super comfortable. Dress is quite long if you are 5'3 or shorter plan on it being a maxi dress. Sizing could be very flexible on this but I would say it runs on the larger side overall
