PRIME-LINEU 9885 Brass Plated Keyed Deadbolt Lock, single pack

I'm giving this 1 star although it may deserve a higher rating. The size of this lock is listed as '2.2 x 3.8 x 6.4 inches'. A six inch long lock was the size I needed for backup locks on exterior log house doors I have. Unfortunately this lock is only about three + inches long including the latch, maybe suitable for an interior door, but far too small for an exterior door application. This is more like a cabinet lock.I don't know why these dimensions were given. None of them can be applied to this lock. You can find them under Technical Details: Product Dimensions. Maybe some other reviewer can give you the true dimensions. I don't have one of them in front of me now.I hate returning products so I didn't send them back but will look for an alternate use. Be aware that these locks alone are not going to keep an adult in or out of anything. A strong yank or push or more than one will easily pull the catch loose with it's two small screws. A great idea though for keeping a curious kid out of a gun closet, that is, if you remember to take the key out.

It works good and well made just wish screws that it cane with would have been better but otherwise its works good and likes nice

The company expects you to find the key blank yourself on line or hire a locksmith. Good luck if you lose a key. Also no guarantee on the lock brass finish. Never again

This little lock has a lot of options. You can lock it open,or closed. It keep little children out of rooms they should not be in. Great buy.

This deadbolt lock was just what I was looking for. I needed a lock like this to keep my grandchildren out of my closet where I keep my guns. This deadbolt is rather attractive and very functional. Great item.
