These squeeze and lock clips to keep your bread bags sealed work well for most types of bread bags, save one.In the pack you get 10 of these things. I got the "pastel colors" so I got pairs of 5 different colors. That's a lot of clips for your money and I doubt you need to use more than a couple of these at a time. But each clip has a colored plastic housing with a rubber-coated spring loaded plastic grippy piece assembled together. You just push down on the spring loaded piece, which opens up the central part in the housing. The interior grippy piece has some gear-like nubs on it for extra grip around a bag. You just squeeze the spring piece down and then attach the clip to a cinched bread bag. It works. The clip holds the bag strong enough that if you did it correctly, you can hold the bread by the clip alone and it won't fall.If you just have a regular thing plastic bread bag, like what you'd find for Wonderbread or a generic loaf of white bread, these clips will work every time. However, they are tough to use with some specialty breads that sometimes come in those thicker, crinkly plastic bags because when you twist those bags up the thinnest part of the twisted bag is still fairly wide for the mouth of these clips. You can get it to work, but it's not great. Additionally, if you have some arthritis in your fingers you might have a difficult time applying enough pressure to completely depress the clip.Overall, you sort of get a ridiculous number of clips for the price here. If you have regular bread bags for white bread and wheat bread in your house all the time, and you can apply a little bit of pressure with your fingers, you'll like these clips. But I had to deduct one star because I wish the clip mouth opening was just a little bigger to more easily accommodate those thicker plastic bread bags.

No more twist ties or clothes pins!

We just got these recently. Seemed to work fine until tonight while making dinner. I was removing it from a bag of slaw when all of a sudden it flew apart and part of it hit me in the eye. Thankfully I wear glasses all the time so I was not injured. I'm throwing them all away. My husband examined one of the other ones and found that if your finger slips off the plunger part the plunger and the spring shoot out and it is easy to make it happen. So just be warned and especially if you have young ones that might try to play with them. I would have given these a much worse score if it were possible.
