I am pretty sure this amazon basics is the same stuff you could buy as name brand but this is a better value and ships quicker. The smell is appealing, not too strong ... but still there (either end of the extreme is less than ideal, so this is good) - Easy to use, have not needed to get stains up, just trying to prevent odors. I do think it would get stains out as well though. Large 64oz lasts a long time and it fits nice under the counter for storage.

I was skeptical about this carpet shampoo, but it actually does an excellent job. Our carpets are over 30 years old & we have had many pets through those 30 years & still have some pets. The shampoo is really good taking the age of the carpet & some pet mistakes into consideration. Anyone with new or older carpet should be pleased with this product now I will say I bought a commercial Bissell cleaner here about 5 years ago so that helps too but if you don't have pets & your carpet is just dirty from everyday wear & tear you should be very pleased. On a side note with my commercial cleaner I find the Rug Doctor solution the best & has a good aroma to it & now a tie for 2nd place between Amazon & Wal-Mart yes Wal-Mart their shampoo smells good & does a really good job with the carpet & all 3 have I would call it mild scents & Bissell makes several different types of shampoo but I found it not the best shampoo one can get & remember this is with a commercial cleaner not the plastic ones that are okay I had a Hoover for years & it did well when we didn't have so many pets. works great , cleans well & smells like sweet tarts , not too overpowering either , stains gone cat friendly , I would still let carpet dry mostly before letting animals step on it highly rec , great value

Great cleaner with an amazing scent. I used this cleaner with my Bissell Little Green and it did a great job cleaning dirt and dust from the couch while also leaving behind a nice scent. I would totally buy it again.

This is a very good carpet cleaner! The stains lift right up and it smells amazing! Makes the furniture appear new. The liquid is very consistent and clear. Smells fresh and easy to pour.

Our cat got VERY sick almost a emergency pet visit but pulled through by morning, I cant be absolutly sure but i am pretty sure its from walking on the carpet befoe it dried and licking her paws. I does clean the carpet pretty good, however it is MUCH MUCH more foamy that the kenmoore product that came with the carpet cleaner. Its so foamy its hard to see the water in the carpet machine. it was a really good price for such a large bottle but next time i will make a much more SERIOUS effor to keep the animals off the carpet until Totally dry. (as it should be, we just let her out of the bedroom early cuz she was whinning so much BIG mistake im glad we didnt learn a harder lesson.) i made the incorrect assumption that carpet cleaner for pets was safe for pets? BUT it is NOT, it just means its good to clean vomit and poop and urine from carpets.

I bought this for my Bissel pet vac. It was inexpensive, and works fine for removing pet accidents. I have 3 cats, so there are plenty of accidents.
