Demons hold grudges
Tw: t*rture, bl**d, g*re, ab*seAt first when I started this book as an arc it was good but seemed slow to get into the plot. However now I know that it was all the world building and background we needed to understand what led us here. The book sucked me in after that and the characters are very likable. Kai and Elena are my favorites but Bax and Ellie might be next. Overall it was a good first book. There are some minor typos but it’s not bad.Tropes: who did this to you, touch her and die, friends turned enemies, insta connection, mutual pinning, magic, hurt/comfort, betrayal, cliffhanger, slow burnSpice: 🌶️.5Steam: 🔥🔥.5Sweetness: 💗💗.5

Honestly? I don’t think you’re ready. This hits all of the tropes I need in a book, and I cannot wait for the next one. You won’t be disappointed. Please pick up this book!! Cliffhangers? YEP. DELICIOUS MEN? YES. Ka Lee never disappoints and I’ll forever read all her books.

THAT ENDING!!!
The media could not be loaded. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶🌶🌶🌶I got this as an ARC!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!! This is an amazing first debut book in a series. I would like to get over the fact that I FREAKING LOVE THIS BOOK!!! Kaisera and Madis were forced to do a blood binding. I loved all of the romances between all of the different characters. I also would like to add WHAT THE FREAK WAS THAT ENDING!!! EXCUSE ME KA LEE BUT I NEED BOOK 2 NOW PLEASE!!Favorite Quotes:“Madis, swear to me you will always remain my rock.”“Kaisera Allison Braxton, I promise to always be your rock.”“Then may they be epic ends.”“Your scars are beautiful. They show you are a survivor. They show you are strong. But scars leave more than just physical damage, and for that, I will give that witch the same treatment she gave you.”“That fire, and the happiness I saw that first day. You enjoy this,”

BRUTAL CLIFFHANGER
1st and foremost, I would like to give thanks to author Ka Lee for picking me to be a part of her ARC team.Wow...that cliffhanger nearly put me in a book slump. This story was fast paced from the get-go to the point that I was flying through the pages until it abruptly stopped and forcing me to wait lord knows how long for book 2.Overall, I enjoyed it.I did find that the secrets and miscommunications, especially between our 2 main female leads, were getting stretched too far, but I did get through it. I loved the multi POV experience with all these fierce women that don't shy down from a challenge. The spice and witty banter was a nice added touch as well. This book takes place in the underworld with Kaisera, a demon princess and her best friend and protector, Madis (also a demon). They are forced into a bond that is practically unbreakable and binds them for the entirety of their lives. But after they are bound to each other is the moment they realize everything is not what it seems.Definitely give this book a try if you are a fan or dark fantasy romance, love some simmering spice, and enjoy women in power. This book had all that and more.CW:Knife play, abuse, abduction, allusion to rape, familial abuse, emotional abuse, mental health, gore/ blood, torture. Adult content, explicit sexual scenes.

What an ending
This book was recommended to me by two people and I have to say this book doesn't disappoint. Kiasera and Madias were once best friends, but their fathers want them to do a blood binding only something happens to them. This book is a 5\5 stars.
