On time. Seems to be working great .thousands of dead mosquitoes in a week's time...great value for money

I decided to give these a try to use with my mosquito magnet as they were much cheaper than the branded lures. Overall, they fit just like the others in the mosquito magnet and seem to be pretty much the same thing. That said, since switching I’ve not seen any mosquitos in the trap area so I’m not sure if this is lure related or something else. Time will tell after I go through a few more.

This item works well and as advertised, especially with a bug zapper.

I’ll start by saying that I did open the package before initiating a return. Apparently I did not notice the ingredients of this product before purchasing. The active ingredients are cornmint oil, thyme oil and citronella oil. Ummm, last I checked, those are all mosquito REPELLENTS, not attractants. It’s no wonder other people have found this product ineffective. It’s not with the money for this small pack of essential oils that I guarantee will only repel mosquitoes from the trap, not attract them. If I’m wrong about this, I’ve been doing mosquito control wrong for years.

I have been using these and it seems to do the trick. I don’t know if they are any better or worse than the one that came with my machine, but I have caught quite a few bugs on my light zapper with this. It is kind of disgusting because I have to clean the bug light every day or the guts will just stick, so I don’t know if it is this attracting them, or if the light is just attracting them.

So bug zappers will kill many types of insects who fly into the danger zone and touch the charged metal panels. But they have to make the choice to fly into the danger zone. Some bugs are so attracted to the UV light that they will just blindly follow to their demise. Mosquitos... not so much. That is where these come in handy. These produce a smell that mimicks the scent that humans produce that mosquitos are attracted to. And it works. I can always tell when it's time to replace with a new one because I don't hear the bug zapper zapping any more. I switch the old out for a new one and pop pop pop. See ya. Wouldn't want to be ya.
