They Work Great - May Need a Threadless Piercing Taper to Insert
Some people are pretty new to 16g (gauge) jewelry. So, I took some photos for you of how to deal with flat backs like these ones. If you are not familiar, you may need a Threadless Piercing Taper to get these on like the one shown in the photos. In the photo with the wire clippers, I am showing that I needed to cut half of the tip off of my Threadless Piercing Taper in order to get the flat back of the earring to sit snugly over the tip of the taper.I took these photos as I used the taper the very first time to enlarge my ear piercing that I have had many years to 16g. I really, really wanted to put this helix earring in my helix piercing. However, since I just pierced the top 5 piercings one week ago, it wasn’t possible. However, I’m thinking that you can get a good idea of the size of this lovely piece of jewelry and how great it will look once these piercings heal!To get this 16g on my 20g piercing, I first sprayed .09% saline spray all over the taper and my ear to lubricate it. You could use instead Jojoba Oil or another oil that is recommended for piercing with a Google search. The reason you use a lubricant is that it helps the skin stretch without tearing. I couldn’t have gotten the taper through without it.At this point I should mention that it will help you do this process successfully if you practice taking off and putting back on this earring while it is in your hand First. Remember the saying, “Lefty - Loosey, Righty - Tighty.” That means that when unscrewing something you always go to the left, and when screwing on something always turn to the right. This can be a bit tricky when you screw it on while looking into the mirror hopefully through a magnified mirror because it’s likely to screw in the front the wrong way.Often when you’re screwing in the fronts of these types of earrings which all seem to be the same amount of effort, the earring falls. So, I strongly recommend beforehand Cleaning the surface of the area where you are putting on this earring. I didn’t clean the surface beforehand, dropped the earring, spent 45 minutes looking for it as I cleaned the area, and finally found the earring 4 foot away from me out in the hallway on my left. How did that happen?!So, after that experience, I also closed the plug in my sink drain because something this small could go through and I wouldn’t even notice it.So, the photos show putting the taper through the back of the ear, adding on the earring back, then you screw on the threaded front, and it’s done!Your ear could possibly feel a bit sore at first but that feeling typically goes away for most people after a few hours. The best part of this experience is knowing that since this is Titanium, you will be able to keep this earring in for a week or month and just wake up every day fully decorated!🥰The only other thing that I should probably mention is that as you can see by the photos, the earring chain is not silver as it looks in the description photo. It is more of a brown color. It could possible matter to some people.Take care and I wish you much success!🎉

Soo I got this in hopes of jazzing up my flat piercing it sat perfectly, I did end up breaking off intentionally breaking off chains for a less out there type style. They did take a little force to rip off so I know if your hair snags it won’t easily break unless your pulling at it. 8/10 The chains weren’t as silver as the actual earring more like a worn silver
