easy to assemble
What can I say - it's a fan? Seriously - Well made, easy to assemble, shifts plenty of air, will keep you cool.

Very loud, but very effective.
In this price range the selection of available pedestal fans are riddled with poor plastic construction and relatively poor airflow compared to their more expensive competitors. I can attest that the Igenix DF 1660 suffers no such problem, and provides a blast of air for fairly large rooms at even the lowest fan speed. But it is loud. You couldn't sleep with this turned on, and it wouldn't easily sink in as background noise unless you have some closed cup headphones/IEM earphones. It's very sturdily built with solid full metal construction (remarkable for the price) and it does the job better than most competitors - but it wouldn't have hurt to include another, much lower fan speed for when you don't want the sound of a small aircraft in your room. I feel that its practical use is hampered by the lack of a quiet breeze, which is sometimes all you want, so consider that before purchasing...

I'm a Fan!
Quite impressed. Quite powerful and at a noise level that I would expect which is quieter than I thought it would be. Made of metal and is fairly robust.

There are plenty of screws and washers you can waste your time fiddling with
I think the advertising should be clear about what's actually included. It's a kit of parts you assemble – all rather ridiculous at this price. It is not fully assembled. There are plenty of screws and washers you can waste your time fiddling with. The whole lot is Chinese made and it feels like it. The fan blade is razor sharp which is unfortunate as even that needs to be screwed onto the metal shaft. The fan base passed 'QC control' at the factory according to a label, but again, it's something you have to assemble yourself. All in all, another disappointing product from Amazon's showroom of Chinese grot.

OK for the price, not the best buy out there
Mine arrived without the grub screw to hold the fan on the shaft so I had to cannibalise one from somewhere else, which was an annoyance. Assembly instructions are poor as they do not show which way round the fan goes. I worked out that the screw should actually be at the back, which means that one has to get one's hand behind the fan to tighten it. The small screw/nut combination to secure the grille is incredibly fiddly to fit and was dropped a number of times, to much cursing. In terms of operation it seems quite powerful but the low setting (I) is far too noisy, while there seems to be little difference between II and III. It would make sense to spread the power bands more evenly. The height adjuster seems a little flimsy and I expect it to fail. Overall, this product seems to shift a decent amount of air but has a low-quality feel about it.

Sturdy fan! Packaging and build quality not comparative to the money.
I bought this ignoring the bad reviews the fan isn't too loud it's a fan. Its moving air that makes the noise. Putting it together was very simple (IMO). My biggest problem is it was packaged like it had already been opened, basically thrown in the box two of the blades were dented, the front and rear covers were dented. The build quality for the money in my opinion was not up to par. The quality of a 17 quid plastic fan is better. It however is very sturdy. The carry handle in a nice touch.

Good looks, decent price - does good job
This fan is good value for money. It looks sturdy and high quality. We’ve had it for 12 months with semi frequent use and it still looks brand new. The instructions are pretty clear but it’s a fiddly job to assemble. It’s doable with one person but would be easier with two. The fan has three speeds and the head can auto rotate from side to side. It’s not overly noisy, with the exception of the highest setting (which is to be expected). There’s an adjuster at the base of the fan which allows you to adjust the angle to blow up or down. For the value and quality, buying this is a no-brainer.

It is a very powerful cooling fan, the noise levels are very reasonable.
It is a very powerful cooling fan, the noise levels are very reasonable. I was going to purchase a second one for our bedroom, this one is in the living room, but apparently we have to use our portable air conditioning unit instead.
