I have a Dell inspiron 15Z and this battery was the perfect size.It is well explained how to make it work and what to expect. The battery is precharged but has clear instructions how to act if the battery is not fully responding (due to static for example).I am not sure how long the battery will work but is definitely worth the price.PS. There is a perfect video step by step in youtube about how to make the battery change on the Dell inspiron 15Z by user "komputerology"

See the photo of the instructions.It comes with all the tools you need to install it.I have an Alienware 15m R2.This battery is compatible.Verify if it works with your computer.I get about 2 hours of battery life.I'll update this if it suddenly fails.I hope that's helpful.

This thing for and worked like a dream! Had a bit of charge left in it upon arrival.

It can be intimidating to do what you need to do to replace the battery on a lot of laptops. But it does help to google for a step by step set of instructions for how to get it opened, especially for this model. And such a nice helpful touch that they give you a set of tools - screwdrivers - plastic case opening tabs - and some instructions inside for how to "break in" a new laptop battery properly. The battery worked right away on first power up. I saw a lot of people selling this battery but I choose the one that took extra care and threw in the free tools.

With provided tools, the battery was fairly easy to replace. I suggest watching a couple YouTube videos on the process before doing it yourself though.
