Better Together is collection of stories of a remarkable couple doing remarkable things. Their shared passion for adventure is eclipsed only by their incredible relationship. This is a beautiful book. The color photographs and maps that accompany each chapter enhance the descriptions and spark the imagination by making the reader part of the story. I loved this book and look forward to the sequel!

The Jackson’s have managed to tackle some arduous and beautiful adventures tucked in between demanding careers throughout their 40 years of marriage. Written in a journalistic style Shannon is straight forward and doesn’t sugarcoat the hardships of which there are many but also doesn’t hold back when it comes to describing the beauty and inspiration experienced on these journeys. I recommend anyone who loves travel & adventure to read this book and go along for a great ride.

An inspiring collection of stories about a couple who has lived life to the fullest, pursuing their passion for extreme outdoor adventure, and finding strength and joy in their shared experience. A very intriguing read that shows what it takes to accomplish these extraordinary feats and how a loving partnership is at the center of it all. I enjoyed it and would highly recommend!

Page after page, this author makes me feel as if I am living these wild, beautiful and sometimes life-threatening adventures alongside her and her husband. I did not want this book to end and hope this inspiring couple will continue pursuing their adventurous dreams...and take me along in a "Better and Happier Together part II".
