These are basically 2 slate coasters, no different from what you would buy in a homewares shop for cups and glasses to rest on.The slate seems of good quality with 4 soft pads on each to protect surfaces. The picture is somewhat misleading, showing a full tortoise on one (making it look bigger than it is) but aside from that, cant fault the product.Not sure £10 is worth it, for 2 slate coasters but if you don't mind the price, I cant fault the product. Just be sure to check the sizes before buying.

These pieces of slate are very small…each the size of a coaster really. They are meant for reptiles as basking platforms, and I’m sure they would work perfectly well for that. I however got them to use as a base for a floristry project. Sometimes we arrange miniature designs, with everything a much smaller scale. When I took them out of the wrapping, I noticed the edge of one of the platforms was crumbling, which is perhaps expected for a natural material such as slate. This does however mean that the edge is very sharp, sharp enough to cut yourself, so they need to be handled with care.
