Works as it should (because it is instant)
This product works as I expected after using clear gel in the past for my raspberry pies and crisps. The last brand I tried didn't work, and then I realized it didn’t specifically state "Instant" in the name like this does. That's super important as not all clear gel is the same. This product IS instant clear gel, so it will work when you mix it with sugar and use it over berries and such, then bake. Non-instant clear gel needs heat application to start working, and it didn't gel my pies. This product is also quite affordable considering the size. If you make pies or crisps and freeze them, then bake them from frozen, this product will do the job exceptionally.

This makes pudding mixes instant. I made a package of mix to take to Ethiopia. It was a welcome addition to our meals.

It works well and doesn't cause any off flavors
This clear jel works very well. I do recommend that if you are using it to make instant pudding to leave it set in the fridge for 20 or 30 minutes for a smooth consistency.
