Very good finish, rotation a bump or two but smooth enough for a handle. And the thread works fine

Overall, a very nice little handle for the price. The threads look a little rough, but not terrible. The specifications could have been a bit more specific: the size of the threaded stud is indeed 8mm in the case of the one I ordered, but the thread pitch isn't mentioned. The thread pitch for an 8mm fastener is often simply assumed to be 1.25 threads per millimeter, which this one is, but there are others, and assuming that a buyer might need to order a tap at the same time, the thread pitch should be stated just to make sure the buyer orders the correct tap.Update: I installed this handle on the Y-axis hand-wheel of my milling machine, and it worked fine. This is a very nice little handle.Note: you'll need a thin open-end wrench; the flats on the base weren't wide enough for most of my wrenches.
