Nice chisels with 1 flaw...
I really like how these chisels feel. Well balanced and good weight on the steel that helps you cut through the wood. There is one issue I have and it's also the same with a second one I purchased later. I have the 5/8" and the bottom wasn't perfectly flat. In the 1st Pic you can see what I didn't flatten completely on the top left corner. Still it does work very well. I recently purchased the 1/4" and as you can see in the picture the right side is not touching the stone. That's half of the chisels cutting edge not being sharpened. I was thinking about getting a full set but if they all have this issue I may look elsewhere. It's a shame because these are great chisels but QC can be an issue. Don't know if anyone experienced this.

Sharp but not ready for use!
It took about 3 hours to get this chisel ready to use, that’s with a sharpening tool! I can say for certain I will never buy this brand again

Apparently not the average Japanese made chisel
This chisel is about the same quality as the cheaper china made ones. First, it NOT sharp as a razor, the bevel is some odd angle and appears to be leap years from the average good quality Japanese made chisel. I own several Japanese chisels and this one is not worth buying. Might make a good nail set punch if you ground it to a point. I recommend you DO NOT WASTE your money on this and look further for better quality. Only good this about it was the price was much less in which should have been my first clue. Apparently, reviews don't always hold to facts.
