Balsa wood is a great versatile craft material to have on hand and this kit is ideal for modelmaking, painting, and pyrography. For £6.69 at time of review, you get 10 x thin, rigid sheets of wood measuring 10x20x.0.2cm each. These are nicely finished and feel a bit heavier than other balsa wood I’ve seen, but still thin enough for easy cutting and will hold its shape well for building models. My partner uses this to make buildings for his model train sets, and he’s very pleased with this pack which is smooth, well-finished, and uniform.

To be clear this is plywood and not Balsawood. The faces of the plywood look like they are Basswood, but could possibly be Balsawood. Either way, the description of the item is misleading. The plywood has been cut to size by laser, and unfortunately there are some burn marks on the wood, but nothing major. The sheets are useful as plywood though and there's nothing wrong with them, their just not plain Balsawood.
