One tough strap, very long!
This strap is amazing. I will never purchase another strap. I recently purchased my first home. The landscaping was very rough. We have pulled out atleast 30 bushes/trees. The first time I hooked this to a bush, my dad looked at it and said "let me get a chain, that thing will never hold up." After we pulled out that batch of 15 or so bushes, he ate his words. This strap is very long and allowed us to stay on the concrete driving for all the pulls. He has a 2013 Silverado 1500. The bushes were terribly tough and took quite a bit of "jerking" to get out. The strap had the back end of his truck lifted off the ground countless times. We were on concrete and had it in 4 lo with all tires spinning. This is one tough strap and it still has tons of use in it! Guess what he asked for for Christmas, this strap!

Looks nice, and well built
Looks nice, and well built. I like the orange color as it is easy to see for other drivers driving at the beach( very high traffic areas ). I did not remove it from its package, but will inspect it prior to each use. I left it in its package to prevent sand and dirt getting on it and breaking the material down over time before I even got a chance to use it. I think the 20000lb WLL will do just fine for my truck. I went with 30 ft as its better to have more than not enough.

Well made and at the right price
I went looking to replace my recovery strap that has served me well for 30 years. When looking at all the different brands I was shocked at what some of them were asking for their 30ft 20k-lb rated straps. I then came across Rugged Ridge's offering and was impressed with the quality and certainly happy with the price. The looped ends come covered to protect them from abrasions which will add life to the strap. I even like the color too. It seems to be very well constructed. Please don't forget to buy the tree-strap too! I've seen too many dead and damaged trees due to winch cables.

Not So Rugged
I finally had the opportunity to try out the strap when I drove into a mudhole with a deep rut to one side. With lots of tire spinning I probably could have backed out but since I was with a friend I figured it was a good time to give this strap a try. Problem way....he only had a ball hitch and no other good way to connect it to his truck. I've always heard never attach a strap to the ball for fear of sending a steel projectile flying. So, we attached the strap to my truck properly but ended up wrapping the end around the hitch bracket. Unfortunately this provided plenty of strength but ended up straining the fibers that hold the strap together. After the pull a split developed where several of the fibers snapped that make up the webbing. Once that happened the webbing began to fray heavily. So, I hacked off the damaged end, tied a loop using a water knot, and chucked it in the garage. I wouldn't trust this now for a vehicle extraction but maybe for a basic tow strap or to remove a small stump or fence post.Also.....in reading several of the other reviews I never really was sure if this was considered a "tow" or "recovery" strap. Tow straps aren't supposed to stretch and are meant to simply pull a vehicle. Recovery straps on the other hand are kinetic devices that are designed to stretch and then return that energy back as an aid to breaking a stuck vehicle free. The description says "recovery" but a few answers from the manufacturer/seller indicate this is not the case. However, the material listed is nylon and that fiber has a huge amount of stretch in either strap or rope form. I'll get a different nylong strap to replace this one.

great product
Works great, I drive a Nissan Pathfinder and have pulled full-sized pickups out of deep snow, once on ice when I could get no traction, but due to the stretch of the tow strap there its a jerking-effect that doubles or triples your tugging-power. Heed the warning; make sure its hooked to something very solid, because when something is going to move whether it be the vehicle our the attachment point. Very light and ready to store away, just keep it clean and out of direct sunlight when not in use and it will provide years of service. Never use chains with ropes our straps, if it breaks it becomes a bullet, I've seen bad things happen when chains break, people can be killed.

Good strap!
I appreciate the quality of this product- the eyes are well covered to minimize risk from cutting. I especially appreciate the added length (30'). Its handy to have the extra length if a vehicle is a ways off the road surface so we can attach the strap without having to get too far off the road with the recovery vehicle. One caution: This is a nylon strap so it does streach more than the polyester straps. That can help to pull stuck vehicle out, but it can also give a sling-shot effect. Another reason a long strap is nice so stuck vehicle and recovery vehicle don't have to be as close together. Soft and easy to roll. I'd purchase again.

Great Strap - Great Price
I recently purchased this strap - 2" x 30' - and used it for the first time yesterday. I was able to pull a 3/4 ton diesel pickup that was buried in snow out of a ditch with no problem. This strap worked after another failed. Great price for a very good product - excellent insurance to carry in your own vehicle in case you get in one of these situations.

buy this
So I can't say that I've load tested to it's max capability but I have put some stress on this bad boy and probably uses this thing as it wasn't intended for and holds up excellently. The first week I had this I pulled out three jeeps and one dodge 1500 out of three feet of snow in the rockies. I've used if as a tree strap and it still holds nicely. I have full confidence that if I need a pull or need to pull someone out of something,if something fails, the point of failure will be something other than this strap.

Satisfied
Used it on two separate occasions thus far for a pull job and it worked fine on both occasions. The first time, our Ford F350 (5035 kg) successfully pulled out a Chevrolet Spark from a snow covered ditch. The second time, our truck was pulled off the crest on a dike by another truck. Both times, this tow rope came in handy; I am totally satisfied.

Broke on first pull
Broke on first use. Pulled a small car out of the snow with very little effort and it tore in half.
