Would definitely recommend as a light to keep in your car. Quality is pretty good only complain is the pocket clip falls off sometimes.

I keep giving them away, because:1. Excellent "throw"--200+ lumens [Yes, some dispute this. ALL I BOUGHT WERE THIS BRIGHT]2. Modest power requirements--two (2) AAA [some competitors use four (4) AAA-they're 50% brighter but 200% MORE EXPENSIVE TO OPERATE ]3. Low cost--I wait for BARGAIN SALE TIME, and then get a two pack for $20 or so.4. Long life. I have not yet had one fail on me; nor have gift recipients complained--they love them.5. ZOOM FEATURE IS SUPERB! "Seals the Deal".These make an excellent gift--I never tell them how much I paid.

Light brightness seems to be equal to listed lumens. Very bright! Battery life is a tad shorter due to high lumen output but it's an expected trade off. Seems very durable. Very happy with this purchase.

I compared the brightness yo my other pen flashlights and this one seems to be the brightest.

I bought a pair of these, one for myself to carry in my pocket whenever I go out and one for my wife to put in her purse. The build quality, brightness, and durability all seem great. I love that I can use rechargable AAA batteries rather than a built in rechargable battery since those degrade over time and can't easily be replaced. I also love that it has a twist focus, I didn't see that option on similar flashlights. My one concern is that mine briefly stopped cycling through the three modes and was stuck on the dim option, though taking the batteries in and out several times seems to have solved the issue. If it happens again I will update my review, but for now these seem like a great deal for the price.

My husband has medical issues, he had a total laryngectomy (which took out his vocal cords & epiglottis) that we need these small, bright flashlights to look into his throat to be sure everything is OK. They really help him, this is the 2nd time we've ordered them because they are so helpful. But they are useful for other areas where we Seniors need bright light to enable us to see better in a lot of other areas also. Plan to buy more when these wear out.

They eat batteries like no tomorrow though....
