My spouse and I are fighting over who gets to read this first. The stories and vignettes are well-written, insightful and just great storytelling. This book educates ALL about the trailblazers who changed so many lives through persistence and dedication. I’m looking forward to sharing it with my two boys. This book is written for all ages and the lessons and stories apply well beyond the borders of Tennessee. Dr. Pethel has done it again!

This was a great read of amazing trailblazers in the state of Tennessee at the forefront of Title IX and the battle for women’s equality in athletics. Mary Ellen Pethel hits another home run! A must read for any sports enthusiast!!
