I wasn't expecting anything brilliant from this clock, which cost only £6.80 at the time of the order: perhaps something flimsy and just about adequate for that price. How wrong I was!This is a big statement clock with a modern contemporary design that would look great anywhere. Elegant and stylish, it can make even the dingiest of kitchens or the gloomiest of living rooms look suddenly smart and alive.The clarity of display is excellent, with large clear numbers and hands that can be easily seen from a distance. An extra bonus is its silent non-ticking mechanism, so no loud intrusive ticking to disturb your peace and quiet.It is made of durable-looking plastic and requires one AA battery, which is not supplied, but it does come with a handy hook for hanging. It is also supplied in a solid and robust cardboard box so would also be ideal to present as a gift. All in all, it is much, much nicer than I anticipated and great value for money.

There are no frills or fancy designs with this clock which is fine by me, as I much prefer a more minimalistic design. I have this one hanging above my workstation where its 12” diameter face is easy to read.You will need a single double ‘A’ battery on hand to power the clock as one isn’t provided and although some fixings are provided in the pack to aid in hanging the clock, I just personally hammered in a panel pin. Thankfully this timepiece has no annoying audible tick going on, but instead, has a gentle sweep action driving the second hand silently around the dial.In summary, a nice, simple but elegant clock suitable for most rooms and at a retail price of £7.60, great value for money.
