I will be sure not to loan out this set since that's reason i needed this set was because the last people to borrow them either cut stuff they knew better to or just didn't bother to bring them back, now i have told them not to come back as well lol. these cutters are a cut above my last set anyways so we will se how long they last, and no before bother to ask you cant borrow mine but hey your at perfect place to get you a decent pair yourself so don't got to borrow mine always lol later.

It's not cut 3inch pvc pipe . It's only cut 2.5 inch or 2.7/8 inch .

Only used them once on 2” pipe and they worked fine. Keep them sharp to make it easier to make the initial cut. And I found that just twisting the pipe back and forth while you slowly add pressure helps get the cut started. Don’t get sucked into the 3” marketing bs. I assumed 3” pipe since that is what they are marketed to be used with. Nope. 3” pipe is about 3.5” diameter and they aren’t big enough. Really kinda slimy marketing. Common sizes of waste pipe are 1-1/4, 1-1/2, 2, and 3. Just make them big enough for 3” (toilets) pipe and you have a winner.
