Just whst I needed for my RV portable air compressor

My previous air compressor hose, more than 10 years old, outer cover was beginning to fray. I needed something new. The old one did not have a recoil (wound) feature to it, and not having bought a recoil hose winder, it just lay on the floor of the garage. Not ideal and the wife did not like the look. Trying out the recoil was an idea whose time had come.The product is rather standard, but this one has the feel of being high quality. It was easy enough to install, in fact it simply plug and play. Tried it out to fill up the tires and it stretches effortlessly. The recoil is quite gentle, so it doesn't really pull back, it's more of a suggestion. I put a small old bungee cord holder in it to keep it secure and that works really well to keep it organized on the air compressor and hang it up beside it. Clearly you could also drop in on a pole - we have an old TP dispenser that I was going to use as well.It seems to be an improvement over lying it on the floor, not sure how it will last over the long run. Works great. Worth the buy

I got this air hose to use in our personal home shop. The first one we received leaked air - the connecter was missing a rubber o-ring. We returned the original hose for a replacement and the second one we received was terrific! We received our replacement hose promptly with no fuss or fight.With this hose being coiled, don't expect it to extend a full 25 feet - stretching to 15 feet, the hose is still loose and has a "sag," however, at 18 feet, there is significant tension and pull - that's definitely something to take in to consideration depending on the distance you are looking to span. Otherwise, great product! Five stars!!
