Great for young children
A niece of mine and her family visited me yesterday. They have three children, ages 11, 9, and 5, so it was the perfect chance to field test this game. The three children and I sat down and played a round. To play this game, each player takes five tiles (thick cardboard, like a toddler's board-book thickness), and the rest of the tiles make up the draw pile. One tile from the draw pile is the starting tile.. The youngest player goes first. The tiles depict several species of sharks - what kid isn't mesmerized by sharks? Anyway, each player chooses a tile from their hand to match with a shark already at the end of the set of tiles previously played. When a player cannot play, they draw tiles from the draw pile until they can. The player who plays all of their tiles first wins. To keep the game rolling, the pyjama shark tiles are wild and can be used to match any other shark. To keep the game going, the pyjama shark is considered wild and can match any other shark. After playing a round, I asked if they wanted to play again or be done. They wanted to play again, so we did.We took a break to have a bite of lunch and the grownups chatted while the kids played. It wasn't long before I noticed that they were playing the game again. During the 2-3 hours they were at my place, the game was played 4-5 times. However, this was not the only option available to them. I've got a good bunch of toys they could have chosen to play with as well. So, the only conclusion I can make about the game is that they truly enjoyed it!The game itself is pretty basic. It is a set of 2" x 4" x 3/8" tiles. Seven species of sharks are represented: whale shark, zebra shark, leopard shark, blacktip shark, great white shark, great hammerhead shark and pyjama shark. Yes, there really is such a thing as the pyjama shark :-DI have to say that my one criticism is that I wish that the pyjama shark drawings didn't have their own color, but instead were sort of a rainbow of the colors of the other shark's tiles to indicate that it's wild. It's not a big deal, but that would have made the game completely intuitive.Good for up to 4 players.Great matching game...and who doesn't like sharks?5/5 stars

Foster a love of sharks
We got these for a three year old girl and a five year old boy. They can both be pretty rough with their toys. But these dominoes are holding up well! My favorite part is that the beautiful illustrations with accompanying shark names have made them both more interested in sharks and other underwater creatures. Children tend to have a natural curiosity about animals that I think we should encourage and I'm glad we could get this quality EeBoo toy to share with them.

Woman owned!
These dominoes are a really nice thick board material! They aren't really shiny, except the line in the middle of each, but it's still a nice touch. My 7yo son really enjoyed playing, and it did make him curious about the types of sharks. After we finished 3 games, he wanted me to look up and learn about the pyjama shark. As a homeschooling mom, I love when this kind of desire to learn happens organically through play and genuine curiosity like this! The only downside we noticed is that the games go really quick. I'm not sure if it's the number of shark varieties, or how many dominoes of each there are.. but we usually can finish the game with both of our initial 5 dominoes and neither of us having to draw. I'm not sure if more players would help this possibly. Even without using the rule about the one shark that is a "wild" didn't seem to help. I'll have to experiment with a way to modify the gameplay or something and see if I can make it hard enough that we need to actually draw dominoes.

Cute Cardboard Dominoes
This is a cute game of dominoes with different types of sharks instead of numbers. There are 28 tiles and 7 different sharks. It took just a few minutes to play. Although I can imagine that cardboard pieces would last longer than cards, I'd prefer straight cards or tiles that can stand up on their own.

eeBoo is always a good investment
Our family loves eeBoo products -- they're very well made and fun, plus they usually have an educational component to them, which makes the adults happy. Our grandkids and great-grandkids love playing with their puzzles and games, and these dominoes were no exception. Very sturdy, colorful, and fun.

eeBoo Shiny Giant Shark Dominoes
My 9 and 10 year old really enjoyed this game. The dominoes are really well-made and sturdy, and the shark pictures look great. It has kept them nice and busy on game days and was a lot of fun. This was a fun game and worth the price!

wonderful game for kids
My little guys is obsessed with this game. He's only three so he doesn't really know how to play real dominos, but he's in love with these ones! He's really into sharks and other big animals right now so these are absolutely perfect for him. Plus, these are absolutely adorable! The designs, the colors, the little shiny silver lettering on each one. I am amazed at how cute these are. I thought for sure they came from some designer kid's toy brand because of how nice in quality and design they were. Absolutely worth every dime just to see the smile that they bring my kid's face!

Vibrant non-ferocious shark domino game
This game is just like regular dominoes but fun for the little ones with oversized pieces, vibrant colors, hologram accents, and SHARKS of course! The rules are simple, just deal out shark cards to each player, and one to start, each person will then try to match up one of the sharks from their hand to a shark that’s in play. If they don’t have a shark, they pull one from the draw pile. First one out of shark dominoes in their hand wins! The artwork in this set is really nice. Beautiful color scheme and the sharks look friendly rather than fierce (won’t scare the littles). The cards are made of thick cardboard, not wood.Great way for kids to learn names of sharks and have fun with short gameplay at the same time. This is similar in value to other sets on the market and would make a great gift!
