Vango Lightweight Outdoor Backpack

This is my second of the same - the zip went on the first after 4 years of regular (often daily) use, including for carrying bulky shopping which I suspect is why the zip was compromised. I have actually repaired the zip on the original by hand sewing it so I will continue to use it for the shopping and use the new one for everything else! The straps which are a reasonable thickness sit very comfortably on the shoulders even with a decent weight in the bag and the hang and fit to the back is ergonomic. The straps are easily adjustable for length and I've at times used the extra strap adjustment lengths as a sternum tie across the chest for extra support. With a bit of logical packing / some jiggling of the contents to ensure no lumps are going to be protruding into your back, this is going to be the most comfortable lightweight rucksack you'll ever likely find, and it looks good too. And it doesn't make that ridiculous rustling sound that the super thin, super light bags make on every little movement.

This bag is great! You can fold or screw it up into basically nothing and just throw it in a bigger bag. Then just unfold when needed and you have a lightweight day bag!This is perfect for holidays or trips away where you only bring one big bag and don’t want to use it as your day bag!It’s so small and lightweight you might as well take it anywhere as you never know when you’ll need it.It’s quite good quality and is not especially weak or thin.Average comfort!

Nice product and portable would suit people who want to travel lightly, however need some extra storage space -- ideal for a "spare" bag when on hols and you dont want to carry alot around -- I would think also good for people who walk/hike as spare or for those who cycle, mountain bike etc...It's reasonably strong/durable, however I would say it's more for the odd occassional use rather than regular and heavy duty work.Seems comfortable to wear and when we used it, had a small packed lunch, water, sun glasses sun screen, mobile phone in it without any issues and still some spare room.Was later used the same day to bring back some souvineers.Probably the biggest advantage being it's light and easy to fit in amongst other items in travel luggage/bigger packs and then as and when needed you have a bag.

Bought this backpack to take on holiday. Very light to put into a suitcase and does not take up any room at all. Although well made I would not use it to carry anything terribly heavy (ie, shopping or a lot of books) as the material and straps are too lightweight. I used it to carry my fleece, waterproof jacket, spare socks, t-shirt, trainers and a bottle of water without any problems and it could easily hold more. I found the straps comfortable and the front pocket useful for smaller things. Used every day over a 3 week holiday and I can see it being used many times in the future. Given what it can hold I'd say it would also be an excellent gym bag or overnight/weekend bag.

I bought two of these after reading the good reviews here. A black one for my husband and a purple one for myself. The purple is a dark and subtle colour - very nice. On opening we were immediately struck by the quality of the fabric. It is much tougher and stronger than you would expect a lightweight nylon bag to be yet it folds up really small and was therefore perfect for its intended use: to slip into our carry-on baggage. We have been using them for the last two days in Rome in torrential downpours. They are comfortable to wear and whilst I wouldn't say they are totally waterproof they are certainly showerproof and dry out quickly. A plastic shopping bag inside ensures that papers and guidebooks stay dry. We're delighted with these backpacks and expect to use them for many years to come.

This bag did me well for several trips abroad.It can fold down very small into another bag and be used as and when. It's very light and durable. The downsides are it's a bit uncomfortable to wear as it's so thin, anything in it will jab into your back. It can hold a lot though. It's not waterproof (I know it doesn't claim to be) so watch out in the rain as anything inside will get pretty soaked. It's great for taking on a daytrip, but as a main cabin baggage item or for holding a laptop etc, it's a bit limited.

One of the best purchases I have ever made, and surely the best backpack I owned. I have ordered my second one just now. The first one lasted approx. 4 years before the zipper started to fail. Material resisted superbly despite years of travel,. stuffing, laptop carrying etc.If you have a good padded case for your laptop, this pack could easily work for that too (I always carried my laptop with me when traveling, alongside water, jacket, food, you name it). At 15L, due to its shapeless form, can take almost anything you throw at it.Very happy the colour is now fully black (not with grey straps as the picture shows - that was my old model).The only thing to bear in mind is that the straps are not too comfortable on the skin, so if you travel during hot weather in summer clothing (as a woman), I recommend creating small covers for them from a softer material.The material is different from all the other packable backpacks, very durable and not overly thin.

If you’re after a small super lightweight daypack that takes up no room at all when not in use, packs away into its own little pouch which has a clip for attaching to a belt loop etc,then look no further than this. I’m still amazed by how much will fit inside for such a small looking pack and even though the shoulder straps are not padded they are wide which spreads the load making it really comfy to carry, it sits perfectly on my back. Purchased originally to take away on holiday as it packs up tiny. Managed to fit 2 rolled up beach towels, 500ml bottle of water a pair of flip flops, sun cream, pair of shorts, mobile phone and sun glasses in it for a trip to the beach, it was a squeeze but it all fit and was comfy to carry. We now have one each and use them all the time from day walks out, popping to the shop for a few bits and bobs, even fit everything I needed in it for an overnight stay at a B&B. Highly recommended!!!

His backpack is tiny to bring a long on trips. When you unfold it it's amazing! It carries everything and it carries everything comfortably!

La compré para llevar en la maleta en mis viajes, ya que no ocupa nada, y fue un acierto. Cuando la guardas ocupa como dos palmas de la mano.Cuando la usas, caben muchas cosas y es bastante resistente. Además, de diseño me parece muy chula.Pros:- No ocupa nada- Es resistente- Es ligeraContras:- Las tiras no son excepcionalmente cómodas cuando llevas bastante peso, pero no se puede tener todo ;)

Buscabamos una mochila ligera pero fuerte para llevar las cosas del día. Hasta ahora no hemos ido de vacaciones con esta Vango pero parece ideal - bien fabricada de una tela buena, commoda en la espalda, y ocupa muy poco espacio en la maleta.

Pesa poc, bon material i ben acabada. Es pot arreplegar tota en una butxaca i ocupa en la maleta con una samarreta. Ideal per excursions d'un dia o per fer-la servir en viatges.

Buena mochila plegable a buen precio (15 euros). Buen diseño, cómoda y materiales de calidad. Muy contento con la compra.
