Well Written but Somewhat Redundant
The message that Cameron Cole presents in his book 'Heavenward' is timely for the world in which we live. Many people, even though being faithful to their church, are fully immersed into the world in which they live. They're focused on their temporal existence here on planet earth rather than living their lives from a heavenly eternal perspective. 'Heavenward' does a great job of making this point, which is repeatedly made throughout the book. This is a soft cover book with an interesting satin texture that I find appealing. The chapters are a reasonable length. Obviously Paul is a hero to the author as he's reflecting and giving examples from Paul's life and teaching several times within each section. I feel that Paul was over emphasized. Cameron Cole did give some real life examples, which to me gives spark to the text and one I wish he would have expanded on. Overall the book is good and is worthwhile.

May this book bring hope, peace and restore joy after the loss of a loved one.
My wife and I have lost our oldest son who passed away unexpectedly leaving a wife and 3 children. We have experienced intense sorrow and miss our son. One day we will be reunited in joy, we also ask why and feel resentment from those “comforting” words that we will reunite with our son one day.I have started carefully reading this book, maybe a fourth of the way through the read and hoping to access a deeper joy as we wait for the restoration. The book shows how you can look upward in Christ seeking resilient hope for times both good and bad.The book is 176 pages written in 3 sections. I really like that there is a general index to help you find and re-read pertinent sections of the book such as dealing with addiction, depression or just facing death with confidence, boldness, joy and hope. There also is a scripture index providing follow-up reading on this journey of healing and re-finding joy.I am reading this book carefully and thoughtfully with a yellow highlighter and reading scripture used to support this book. Cameron Cole also has written a previous book on tragedy and hope that I may read as a follow-up to this book.

Insightful & Relevant
I'm not an avid reader of any sort but have several self-help and spiritual books on my belt. I've also been a long-time Christian and have heard hundreds of sermons both from my own local church, when visiting another city, or from conferences. Wherever stage you are at in life, this book helps and still touches on some topics and concepts I haven't encountered, or maybe I did, but this book just reinforces that.Huge impact I would imagine for anyone who's been thinking or reflecting on eternity/heaven/afterlife. I can easily follow the author's mind only because of my said experience. I've only gone through the intro and chapter 1, and I'm still wanting to know more about what is written here. Not earth-shaking so far for me, but enough good content to keep me hooked. This is a paperback with good quality (thick enough) pages. Fonts are easy-to-read and bound is tight. I held this open while reading with one hand and I felt strained. It's a good thing since you know the book will last against page turning. Will recommend

Offers comfort and perspective, nicely written
I enjoyed reading this as I sometimes get caught up in earthly matters and forget what comes after. This book offers a reminder and a shift of perspective, it’s a comforting book to read as it helps us to remember that we aren’t here on earth forever. It was well written and I will come back to it in times that I forget that all is temporary. I recommend it!
