I would recommend this accessory for anyone interested in using their phone for more 'serious' camera use.The adapter is of an all metal construction. The halves push apart as you turn the knob, by means of internal springs, so you don't have to have 3 hands to mount this. The quality of the construction is pretty good, and there is very little play in the components. The adapter can hold phones that are pretty wide, and with the rubber pads, you won't have to worry as much about damaging your device. There are threaded holes on the bottom and sides, so you can mount your phone in any orientation, or possibly even add on accessories. Speaking of accessories, the sky's the limit, with the count shoe mount on the top.

I tried a few of the spring loaded clamps for my iPhone and hated them, they're so tight it's hard to get the phone in using two hands, and just as hard to get it out again without the clamp spring back and pinching your fingers. Besides that, I have a thick battery case, and the typical ubiquitous spring clamps don't allow for that extra thickness, so my phone was constantly popping out if I didn't get it in just right.In contrast, this Ulanzi clamp is a joy, SO easy to get my phone in and out, and it handles the full thickness of my phone and battery case, with zero danger of it popping out. I love how solid, well made, and adjustable it is, with the much more well designed mechanism.

Very well built and grips on to my iphone 7plus very well. I had a phone clip that you'd have to pull upwards to insert the phone into place but every time my phone will pop out and eventually my phone landed on hard floor and cracked my screen. I was so fed up and looked hard for a good phone holder. I am so glad I got this one. The suspension is great and really holds my big phone in place. I like that the bottom of this holder is angled and not flat like other models. it adds additions grip and sort of hugs your phone in place as you secure it down with the screw top.

I got this product to mount my Galaxy S9+ on a tripod. It's worked out great!PROS:Rigid - Once you tighten the bolt, there's absolutely no wiggle of the mount or the phone.Size - It's one-size-fits-all mount. It handles my S9+ with a big case just fine.Material - Frame is metal, pads are rubber, and the guide is spring-loaded for ease of use.Price - It's even cheaper than many of the plastic equivalent.CONS:None at the moment.I'll update this review if anything comes up. But so far, it's working out great.

I own a few Ulanzi products and this one doesn't disappoint! For the price, I don't know of anything that is better made. The phone is held in place much more firmly than comparable spring loaded designs. I also appreciate that it stands on its own, without a tripod! The cold shoe mount is the *only* slight complaint I have, as my cold shoe microphone doesn't slide in fully. However, that ends up being a minor cosmetic complaint, so I didn't remove a star for this nitpick.I leave this connected to an older iPhone 6S with a Shure MV88+ mic in the hot shoe. This setup has replaced a dedicated handheld recorder. I can throw it in my bag with confidence that it'll stay connected and ready to be used on a whim when creativity strikes. Anyway, if you need a tripod mount for your phone, order this one. It will not disappoint!

This phone mounting clip is one of the few that I have ever seen that is actually well made. It holds my iphone with a credit card case with two cards and a drivers license in it extremely well. There would be no chance that the phone would fall out of this clip. I also tested it on a phone with a smaller case and it worked just as well. This is a really well designed phone mount clip, in a world where most phone mount clips are just awful. I am really please with it and would recommend it if your goal is to hold a phone very securely for something like a mobile filming setup or a selfie stick.

So I needed a new holder for a larger phone, I appreciate the flexibility of size options with this one. I will say the one tripod mount part seems a little useless, I wish there had been one on the middle of the back piece. I use this with a mount on my bike handle bar and it does the trick so I can have my phone out and get it off the bike somewhat quickly for photos etc.

If youre looking for a phone mount for a tripod look no further. This rugged machined mount will securely hold your phone. I was surprised at the level of craftsmanship in this little mount. Its solid. The screw etc is almost machine grade, feels precise, and holds the phone without loosening. I use it for auditions online etc and it works like a champ. I find myself using my DSLR less and less unless Im really going for broke and using mics etc.For 15 bucks what can you buy these days? Seriously? You ant even go to McDonald's for that. You should buy it on principle. Really.

Received this product from vendor "vastland" with a cracked piece on it. Metal fatigue is very bad, almost like the item was stressed somehow. Very poor workmanship. Steer clear of this product and vendor, they refused to even help us. The top portion of the smartphone holder never tightens securely so you expensive phone can fall.

Came quick. No extras but it's pretty much what you get. Quality of the parts are great but the design is a bit flimsy. When tighten the device you can easily over turn it causing the connecting rods / guide rods to bend slightly. It does a good job at what I needed it for - hold a rode mic pro for my phone.

Saw this reco’d for iPhone on a YouTube and ended up buying two of them.Uses screw pressure instead of spring to solidly clamp the phone. Solid metal construction and works perfectly on my heavy iPhone 13 Pro Max.

This is a solid metal mobile phone mount that offers a more secure mounting option than the usual light weight options. A nicely finished reliable piece of kit.

Easy to use and has been very helpful in taking sharp photos using a tripod. It fits in my shoulder bag so it is there when I need it.
