I've FINALLY found the one!! (Just don't keep it rolled when not in use...)
I've owned a number of travel pillows, starting with the standard U-shape. I found it quite uncomfortable for the exact reason pointed out by Cabeau - the padding at the back is so thick that it actually pitches your neck forward and leads to neck pain. I then tried the BCOZZY, which was fair but couldn't stay still between my head and shoulders and was prone to falling onto the dirty airplane carpet. Next up was the Turtl pillow, which was also pretty fair but provided moderate support to only one side. If you wanted to switch your head position, you literally had to undo the wrap, swap the neck brace to the other side and rewrap. It became annoying after a short while. Knowing I wasn't satisfied with what I currently own, I went in search of better options and found the Cabeau pillow. It did everything it advertised and for once I am satisfied with the product. Here are a number of things I like most: (1) I like the slim profile at the back of the neck, which felt incredibly comfortable and did not pitch my head forward. (2) I loved the fact that I could strap the pillow to my headrest without disturbing the person sitting behind me. When I got up to use the restroom, the pillow stayed securely (and sanitarily) fastened without risk of falling to the floor. (3) I loved that I could fasten the pillow with a connector at the front, which indeed helped to keep my head from pitching forward while I slept. I kept it unfastened while awake and it felt good to simply rest my head comfortably on the pillow, switching frequently from side to side without any necessary adjustments. (4) I used this pillow along with my Bose QC45 headphones and worried they wouldn't work well together, but I was wrong. My only complaint was that from time to time the band for the headphones would slip either forward or backward. I'm not sure how much that can be attributed to the pillow, rather than simply having a smaller head. (5) I found the foam INCREDIBLY soft and quite comfortable, while still providing adequate support. (6) I love that I can roll the pillow into a smaller size when not in use. ***JUST BE AWARE THAT YOU SHOULD NOT KEEP YOUR PILLOW ROLLED FOR LONGER THAN THREE WEEKS*** (7) I love that it comes with a carrying case that includes straps for you to attach it to your luggage or other travel pieces. I can't think of any other ways to improve this pillow. This is the first time I've found a travel pillow that I love and don't feel the need to replace.

The perfect travel pillow
I’ve probably tried out eight different travel pillows over the years, everything from the beanbag type that is shaped like a doughnut to the thing that looks like a scarf to hold your head up, to traditional travel pillows, and everything in between. And this pillow got it right, it took the best from every different type of pillow and put it into one. It looks exactly like the pictures and performs as expected. Why it’s awesome: first is the obvious, it keeps your head from flopping forward and waking you up because The pillow itself attaches to the headrest of the airplane seat. And because the front of the pillow has a cinch string, which makes it possible to close the pillow completely around your neck and cradles your jaw/chin, it actually keeps your head from flapping forward if you make it tight. But the pillow and the fabric are firm but soft so it’s not uncomfortable when the pillow is tight. I think the height of the pillow is perfect regardless of how short or long a neck you have because the pillow is plush and can accommodate. The pillow cradles your head on all four sides it also keeps your head from tilting to the side too much. There is padding on the back of the pillow, but not too much, so it would be comfortable to use even if you didn’t end up attaching it to a headrest (I used it in bed lol). it comes with a great travel bag that compresses it a bit for easy traveling. I like attaching a carabiner to the bag strap so that I can easily attach it to the outside of my suitcase or backpack. I haven’t tried washing the exterior yet, supposedly it comes off, but one reviewer said that did not end well. TBD on that.

EDIT: I USED IT, I LOVED IT.
EDIT: I USED IT, I LOVED IT. Okay so my initial out of the package review of this product was pretty harsh. I ended up bringing it on my 11+ hour flight from JFK to EZE (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and OMG. I have never been able to get more than a few minutes of sleep on a plane, no matter how tired or decaffeinated. This pillow (even though mine arrived broken) blew me away, and I slept 6 hours! What was broken is the clasp that keeps the two ends together. This really is a must for the pillow to function, so I finagled it with a zip tie, this made it work, just made it annoying to get in and out of the pillow if I wanted to grab something in front of me (since pillow was also attached to seat back). I slept 6 hours straight on my flight in a regular economy seat with just some extra leg room. IT WAS AMAZING! It is like wearing a very comfortable c- collar, your head wont fall forward, you won't wake up with a crick in your neck. I am exchanging it due to the broken clasp. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Very disappointed. At first try on it is surprisingly comfortable, and then you find the faults very quickly. Does not push your head forward, that is nice. Check. Nice side to side support. Check. If you connect it to the seat it will prevent your whole body from tilting forward, but it WILL NOT prevent your head from falling forward and therefore will not prevent an over flexion of your neck. This is because your chin will fall in-between the open section in the front. This is because: The pulley cords in the front #1 Do NOT stay connected (unless I have a broken one) and #2 even at their tightest only the bottom is secured, the top where your chin is is not secured closed and your chin will just fall down and through making it completely pointless. I was hoping it would expand over time after being packed for so long and this would correct the issue, it did expand but not enough to correct the issue above. Just like any other travel pillow and about 3x the price with that major and easily correctable fault. I don't see how so many people can find it comfortable with the above occurring.

The Holy Grail of Neck pillows
I was very hesitant to buy this neck pillow. I have many, many neck issues, cervical pain, migraines, the list goes on. I have never slept with a pillow, every pillow (or neck pillow) I’ve tried has always made it worse. It ends up being useless, and waste of money. I was flying out of the country for 17+ hours. I was nervous to have to sit upright for that long, and the pain I would be in. I spent countless hours researching things for flights that would make my pain as minimal as possible. So I could enjoy my trip. I was deciding between this one, and a wraparound one that you can lay your head to the side. I am so pleased that I chose this neck pillow. I have never found ANYTHING that doesn’t make my pain worse, let alone help me have little to no pain. What made me decide to buy over the other ones, is that it makes your spine stay aligned. It was even firm enough that when i would drift to sleep that my head stayed aligned. Which in my opinion is why I didn’t wake up with any neck pain or migraine. (🎉🥳) I have used this even out of flying. Driving for long periods, being at my desk typing, or even when I wake up and I can tell my neck is going to be bad that day. Very compact and easy to travel with. I love the strap in the back for headrests which also is a plus when flying. Not saying you will have the same experience, but I highly recommend you to try it. I have recommended this neck pillow everyone, and anyone who will listen. Some who have bought, have loved it as well. It’s not the cheapest thing ever, but I will buy it as SOON as something happens to mine. MY HOLY GRAIL!

Good idea, imperfect realization
It’s a good product idea, but its execution was a little slipshod: the pillow arrived with one of the straps only halfway sewed properly. It was plain that any regular use would cause it to pull apart immediately. I am returning it and ordering another and hoping that it arrives in time for me to use it. As a side-note, this is really strictly for travel. It’s too bad. They don’t make the straps long enough to reach around your average easy chair or rocker at home, so that it would be usable for people like me looking forward to recuperation from shoulder surgery – this will involve an extended period of time in which I have to sleep upright. The fix would be pretty simple, and I’m surprised it doesn’t appear as an option for a posture-aid costing as much as this one does. In fairness, it can be used without the straps – but then your head isn’t prevented from falling forward, which is part of the entire reason for this design. I do like the fact that the cushioning is soft yet supportive.

Best Travel Pillow I’ve Used for Long-Haul Flights
TL;DR: 10/10. Bulky, but incredibly comfortable and supportive in multiple sleeping positions. It eliminated the neck pain I normally get on long flights, and I plan to buy two more for my wife and mother. I’ve taken many 10+ hour flights over the last decade and tried several travel pillows. This is easily the best one I’ve used. I constantly change sleeping positions—leaning back, left, then right—and this is the first travel pillow that comfortably supported my head in every position. The material is soft, and I never felt hot or sweaty using it. The two cords snap together to keep the pillow securely around your neck, which I think is a big reason it provides so much support. The cord against my throat felt a little strange at first, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. The biggest downside is its size. Even packed in its case, it’s bulky, but I simply clip it to my backpack. I still only managed about three hours of sleep on my flight, but that’s probably more about me than the pillow. More importantly, I had no neck pain or discomfort while sleeping or watching videos. I liked it enough that I’ve already recommended it to my wife and mother, and I plan on buying one for each of them soon. For making a cramped airplane seat significantly more comfortable, this is an easy 10/10.

So hot that I thought I had a fever...
I read all the glowing reviews and articles and thought that I had finally solved overnight flying. I did notice one review that said the pillow was uncomfortably warm, but I dismissed that because I'm always cold. Within five minutes of strapping this around my neck I thought I was getting a fever. It took me a little while to realize it was caused by the pillow, because I felt like my entire body was roasting. I took the pillow off and immediately felt 20 degrees cooler. Later, I made the mistake of trying to put my face in it on the tray table; again, immediately overcome with a full body blast of heat. Would this pillow have worked for me otherwise? I'm not sure. Mine was well made, and I tightened the neck clasp extremely tightly, without any signs of breakage. It took me quite a while to find a way to attach it to the headrest wings, but I managed eventually, and the other option was to take the two straps and form them into one long one that looped around the headrest. It was definitely strapped a bit higher up on the seat than I would have preferred (5'4, but with a very short torso), but it wasn't horribly uncomfortable for me. As others have noted, this caused some difficulty with earbuds, but I mostly managed to keep them in. Once you're strapped in, you're really strapped in -- it wasn't necessarily a pleasant lounging experience. I certainly wouldn't hang out and watch a movie with the pillow attached. I have no idea how my body would have felt after a few hours of being held bolt upright by the neck. Thank goodness I brought one of the silly giant inflatable pillows (almost rectangular, with weird holes and gaps everywhere for your face and arms -- Skyrest is the original), which isn't perfect, but at least lets me get some sleep. It's downright comfortable if you have a window seat and can just mash it in the gap between arm rest and window, but still fairly awful for middle and aisle if you're a side sleeper like me.

Lives Up to the Hype
After reading the reviews for this neck pillow, I bought one as I was heading on a 2 week vacation that consisted of 10, 6hr+ long flights. I’ve tried various neck pillows over the years, so I didn’t have a lot of faith (I kept the packaging just in case). The pillow lives up to the hype. I think the real magic of the pillow is the simplicity of the head-strap-to-the-seat system; it’s what every neck pillow has lacked. One review I read mentioned that the pillow is not great for over-the-ear headphones and that is 100% true. Most of the headphones provided by airlines are over-ear, so I was lucky in that I snagged an ear-bud pair from airfrance on my first leg of flights so I was able to use the in-flight entertainment on Qatar and Ethiopian. If you plan on using any in-flight entertainment, definitely try and get a pair of earbuds with the two-prong connector, or you won’t be using the in-flight entertainment with this next pillow. Aside from the headphone situation, this next pillow was a lifesaver. By strapping the pillow to the seat, it prevents your head from flopping around. I always find it hard to sleep on flights unless I’m in a window seat with my own large (real) pillow, and with this neck pillow, I was able to sleep 8+hrs of a 14hr flight. 100% with the $40 price tag (I bought the 2nd tier option). The second tier option did a good job of keeping my mouth closed (I’m definitely a mouth breather), so I’m not sure if the $50 option is necessary unless you really want your head to be secure. Because the pillow keeps your head/neck pretty rigid, it takes a little getting used to (I have some neck/shoulder pain normally) so it took me a flight to figure out the best set up for me. After figuring out the set up, I was good to go. I saw a lot of this pillow/this brand of pillow during my trip; more than any other brand of pillow. The secret is out. Throw away all your other neck pillows, and buy this one

A travel must-have
I bought this off recommendations and so glad I did. I really hate sleeping while flying (can’t actually do it) and I get so frustrated. The fact that it can be attached to the headrest is a game changer as it keeps you upright. Used it for a long flight and actually managed to get some sleep It’s great quality and folds up into a convenient small bag.

Una maravilla
La suavidad, comodidad y soporte que ofrece definitivamente justifica el precio. Créeme tu cuello lo agradecerá sobre todo en vuelos largos. 10 de 10.
