You can easily extend the life of a good pair of leather shoes by not wearing them every day. Instead give them a day’s rest and let them dry on a shoe-tree if possible so that the shoes stay in shape. If you use a shoe-tree made of cedar wood the moisture in the shoe can be absorbed by the shoe-tree to a certain extent. A quality shoe tree must be made of natural cedar wood and is never coated with varnish or lacquer. Our cedar wood shoe-trees provide the utmost in shoe care; the shoe-tree fits tightly inside your shoe. They have springs from end-to-end, as well as laterally in the toe-piece, stretching the shoe slightly. The cedar wood gives off its pleasant scent in your shoes and the surroundings. Another important feature is that cedar wood is very absorbent. Features - Made of cedar wood - Keep shoes shape and absorb moisture - Unvarnished means the wood can help moisture dissipate from the leather - Fits tightly inside your shoe - Springs from end-to-end , as well as laterally in the toe-piece, stretching the shoe slightly - The cedar wood gives off its pleasant scent in your shoes - The rings help you to carry the shoes and to remove the shoe-tree - Side spring mechanism to help fill out the toe area - especially creases - Double tube springs to keep firm pressure on the length of the shoe Package Contents - 1 x Pair of Shoe Tree

Great shoe trees at a great price
Overall verdict: A great pair of quality cedar shoe trees with a very nice carrying pouch and additional cedar balls. The fact that these are also the cheapest shoe trees out there just makes these a huge deal.Things I liked:* Quality: These feel sturdy, the cedar wood is solid, unvarnished and smells amazing, the brass parts are shiny and feel sturdy. The spring mechanism is strong enough to straighten my shoes, but not too strong as to damage them. I haven't experienced the misplaced brass parts issues that other reviewers have quoted.* Fit: You should know really well what your size is. I know my real size is usually EU 43, so I bought the EU 43-44 trees and they fit my shoes perfectly, even though those specific shoes are labeled as EU 42.* Carrying pouch: I absolutely love the additional faux nubuck storage pouch that these come with. It has two layers - one faux nubuck leather on the outside, and one nylon on the inside to prevent ripping and keep the inside easy to clean. I guess it's for storing the shoe trees, but I actually use it to store my shoes when traveling (it's a tight fit but it works). Would love to be able to order the pouch separately!* Cedar balls: The trees come with 4 cedar wood balls. I don't know how well they work for repelling moths, but I'll keep them around my clothes anyway because they just smell great.* Packaging: Came very well-wrapped and protected.Things I didn't like:* The spring mechanism feels just a tad bit wobbly. I hope it will last a long time. No signs of problems yet.I was looking for the cheapest spring cedar wood trees as I was just buying my first pair. These are indeed the cheapest I found online, but they feel amazing! Unless they break down after a short time, I see no reason to spend more on shoe trees. I was wondering between these and http://amzn.eu/d/f3l3Acw, but at the end I chose these because of the better pouch and the cedar balls, and I don't regret it!Sidenote: When I unpacked my shoe trees, in between the two split toe parts was some white cedar oil oozing. This may look alarming at first, but as another seller has written (http://amzn.eu/d/f3l3Acw - see last photo), that is not mold and you should not be worried about it.

One excellent product
I used these shoe stretchers on leather boots that had been rained on and lost their shape -they work great. They also worked perfectly on Adidas trainers that were a shade too small thanks to the legendary Adidas too-narrow fit.The brass fittings are weighty and solid and the red cedar wood they are made of is exceptional quality. The wood is unvarnished. Being dry/raw cedarwood it absorbs excess moisture from the shoe leather and imparts a lovely smell which not only deodorises shoes, but acts as a strong insect repelent.

Good value but sizing isn't great
There are a couple of issues, I bought size 41/42, but these wouldn't fit for multiple different pairs of size 42 shoes without modification. I bought 2 sets, they had the same issues.Even on the smallest width fully screwed down, these were wider than a 42 throughout the whole length of the shoe this was true for Churches, Loakes, Redwings and Russell & Bromleys shoes in an F fitting. At every point of the shoes length they are the wrong width. The bottom is also flat, shoes are not flat, this makes them hard to insert and force the shoe into quite a poor position. That said the wood is quite nice, and once I spent about 25 minutes sanding these down (about 1cm from the width and about 1cm from the bottom at the front). They are quite nice.

Way too small and faulty!
Bought the size 10.5-12 for my size 11.5 shoes. The shoe trees were WAY too small (possibly would have fit a size 7 shoe) and faulty as one of them would not bend to fit in the shoe.

They're... alright
I love how these come with a nice storage bag and some cedar balls which is a nice extra. The shoe trees, however, are alright but there's a bunch of imperfections: they're rough in some places, could do with a bit more sanding, the metal bits are not all well installed. One handle is at an angle, the metal bits connecting the heel with the rest of the shoe tree are way too loose and wobbly on one, and the heels are quite crooked and not very nicely finished. The shoe trees were not set to an identical width, which is a bit of a hassle. Also mine had that white fuzz of cedar oil seeping out, which is not such a big deal, just kinda shows that they've been kept in packaging for a while after being made. But again, that's not a problem to me, just wanted to mention. The price is really great though, so maybe it's not crazy to have imperfect shoe trees at this price point; however I also had a pair I bought at a very similar price on Amazon and it was amazing, so basically I've been comparing the two. Sadly, the other pair was too large and they didn't have a smaller size in stock, otherwise I would have bought those instead.Size wise, I'm a woman wearing UK size 8 usually, which depending on the manufacturer can be EU 41 or 42 (I hate those who claim that 8 is 41, bleugh.), and I had to get the UK 6-7 shoe trees, so ladies make sure you go down a size.Hopefully this is just a one-off case of poor quality control here, cause a lot of people seem to love these. And honestly, despite those imperfections I listed, these are alright for the price. I'm keeping this pair because, well, it still does the job.

Ottime forme per le scarpe. Soddisfatto.
