The motor does what it's supposed to. My only gripe is they don't tell you there's no internal low oil switch which means you don't need the yellow wire on the key switch harness. Knowing that, the wiring is easier. The plugs on the harness match up better. I've yet to test the charging system. I installed after market exhaust and intake, opened the main jet and installed it on a go kart with. Tourqe converter.

Update, almost a year later and it's been put through the ringer by the kids that ride it. Hasn't skipped a beat. Will buy again.Right when I got it I pulled it down and put a bigger camshaft in it, bigger valve springs, govoner delete, and a lightweight flywheel. These engines seem to be built fairly well. I like the non hemi engines alot. Great buy. This engine in particular is going in a golf cart and will be ran really hard so I'm excited to see how it holds up.

My only gripe is it has no instructions on how to connect the ignition switch box as it doesn't come pre-installed, there are some YouTube videos of how to do it for this exact engine, you really can't beat the the value of this.

Motor showed up on June 8th, no damage, all parts in the box. Only issue I have is the Battery is not included, and No place in the book that came with it is there any information on How Big of a battery it needs. Other than that I will be using a small riding mower battery and will make a battery holder on the chipper that I am replacing the engine on.I am replacing the Old motor on a Sears chipper, the old motor bogs down with use, new carb didn't help. Old motor is just very tired.

Great engine I love it on my mini bike I've been riding it since I got it and it just keeps going I've got almost 100 miles on it now it starts great with the max power 3ah 12 volt battery for 20 bucks here on Amazon it starts first pull everytime I pull start it it's the perfect engine for me

replacing the old 5HP engine we installed this engine on my son Go kart 7HP with Electric Start.the wiring to us was easy to hook on (as I have notice many of you! talking about the yellow wire)(The yellow wire is goes for the kill switch)the engine starts right up with starter or pullit has a lot of toques on this 7HPit sounds amazing I'll upload a video when we take it again on the roaddefinitely recommended this engine.
