Wire In The Blood: The Complete Third And Fourth Series

The first two episodes complete the involvement of Hermione Norris but even though there's a change to Simone Lahbib they are still as interesting to watch - when you get used to her - and as chilling. Robson Green is excellent as ever. There are a few extras included and overall good value for money. Well written based on the books by Val McDermid - makes you want to read them all - good drama which makes forensic psychology appear interesting and stimulating!

Great series

The series is well produced, very well acted and repays careful viewing. However, it is a series and there is a fair bit of repetition. You could not, for instance, watch more than two at once. Robson Green's character can get a bit wearing.That said, I think in the third and fourth series WitB peaked and this is the best compilation to get.But: for occasional viewing only

Not having been a Robson Greene fan previously, I am really taken with the character in "Wire in the Blood". Hard hitting, with strong storylines, human interest and written with intelligence and grittily portrayed- this has not dated, and holds up really well.I particularly like that the people involved are imperfect, yet capable- this helps maintain tension throughout each episode. It is involving and gripping and frightening- it is pretty graphic at times. I shall order the next box set right now!

I have been a great fan of all involved in this production- author and actors. The series lives now for me. Robson Green is totally in the skin of Tony Hill, I could not imagine him being played by anyoneelse. The atmosphere is brilliantly sustained throughout and even the incredible violence is well handled. It is believable and not just presented for effect.

What can I say -this series is fab. Robson Green in a wonderful actor and I'm proud to say he's from my part of the country. The rest of the cast are all excellent -working well together.

Robson Green is excellent in this series, which is full of good story lines and twists and turns. I missed most of the episodes when they were first broadcast, but now I can watch them as and when I want.Good value and prompt delivery.
