If your O2 sensor has a stainless steel heat shield the socket does not fit.
Does not fit over sensor if it has a stainless steel heat shield. you will need to purchase a thin walled socket.

Heavy duty for seized o2 sensors
I prefer the offset style o2 sensor tool (black) since it allows the wire to pass through the socket completely minimizing damage to the wires. It's also much stronger than the traditional style tool (chrome) which has a tendency to flex/open with considerable torque which will result in stripping the hex nut on the o2 sensor.The 7/8"/22mm socket uses a star shaped 1/2 drive which I don't particularly like because the detent ball in the rachet doesn't hold the socket in place so it has a tendency to fall off. The 7/8" socket fits pretty loose on the o2 sensor but it still managed to remove a seized o2 sensor without it slipping on the hex nut of the sensor.
