I have bought this product previously and it worked just fine. The water always taste so much better when the filter has been changed. My refrigerator is over 31 years old and still chugging along. I’m happy this company is still manufacturing the replacement filter for this very old fridge!

we take for granted that the tap water is safe. Maybe it is. This filter is easy to install, saves on thousands of plastic bottles which end up in the dump. We have not bought any water for years thanks to this filter.

When GE decided to abandon their installed base of GXRTQ filters, apparently thinking that this was still the 1980s when consumers had little choice, that left me stuck with a filter that needed replacement and a choice of either tearing out my current plumbing to install a newer GE style, or finding a reliable and safe replacement sold under another brand, but that connect and fits the same as the old GE filters.I really resent GEs attempt to force me into a plumbing change to their newer GE filter styles.So this left me looking for replacements. I had previously stuck with the GE branded filters, so it was with a bit of trepidation that I shopped around, read through the reviews, and ended up ordering the three-pack of AQUACREST filters from WaterdropDirect.Their fulfillment is by Amazon so there was no issue there, and when they arrived I was noted their obvious quality of manufacture, especially at the attach fittings, and everything connected to the existing attachments.
