An easy to install fitting which upgrades well from the usual standard white corded fittings. This provides a retro yet sleek finish

This is nicely made and looks attractive. As is common with these replacement units, the connectors supplied within the rose may not be ideal for multiple (eg loop-in) cables commonly found in UK lighting circuits. One good thing, however, is that the rose is slightly larger than the standard UK rose (120mm vs 100mm in diameter), leaving more room for wiring (and replacement connectors if necessary). Another useful feature is that the rose has L-shaped slots for the screws connecting it to the supplied ceiling bracket – this makes fitting easier. (It would be better still if the fixing was invisible but generally that seems to be a feature only of cheap plastic roses.)

The hanging bracket was 4mm too small which causes distortion of the unit when fitted.I could have returned it but wanted a light in my room more.

Looks amazing with a golden shaded globe faraday bulb. Great value for money too and easy to fit.But... the sticky warning label takes a while to remove and leaves an unsightly mess. The only way of getting this off properly is with sticky stuff remover so be prepared to spend ten minutes of fading. The other but is that they are wonky. They're wonky because the cord is secured by a grub screw at the top and one at the bottom. This means the pressure from the grub screw is on one side of the cord bending it slightly and giving it a wonky look. Fortunately we like wonky. Wonky is the new black.Still we bought 7. Look great.

Looks really nice.However, there’s little room inside the housing to get the wires into the cheap, chocolate block, connection block, making the electrical connection tricky - unless you’re blessed with the fingers of a 5 year old and the shoulders/arms of Arnie.Other issue is that the bulb holder doesn’t fit through the hole on a standard lamp shade, so, after wasting an hour putting the damn fitting up, I know have to Dremel out the light fitting to get it to fit.

Nice product to look at and appears well constructed. It would have been 5 stars had the manufacturers bothered to product test. What a pain to install, the fitted terminal blocks had the terminals blocked up, had to take apart to make room for the mains and switch cables. Doesn’t have the terminals for the loop wiring which is fine but the terminal block doesn’t leave much space for multiple wires. Add an extra wire in there, a terminal block to replace the loop and shorten up the flex to a length which suits a normal room and there isn’t much space left inside the ceiling rose.
