Curtain Call: FOUR (The Familiar's Legacy) Paperback – Import, 17 February 2024

Coming to the resolution of an adventure is always bittersweet, not sure if you'll get to spend time again with all the friends you made along the way, but satisfied with being provided some closure. We met a number of new friends in this book and were introduced to new places, so who knows what other journeys Ms. Carter has up her sleeve for these new characters.I have a habit of guessing all the twists and turns, and I'm happy to say that I was right about some and wrong about others.It's been a fun ride.

This book wraps up ‘The Familiar’s Legacy’ series brilliantly. It has all the excitement, invention, plot twists, and engaging character interactions I’ve come to expect from R. Lindsay Carter. Her descriptive powers make it easy to vividly see the people, places, and settings of Cressida Curtain’s world. Without giving away any spoilers, the resolution to the Cressida/Grimm conundrum is chef’s kiss perfect. Though I shall miss the characters I’ve grown so fond of, I look forward to discovering what this talented author comes up with next. If you enjoy the ‘found family’ trope, this is the ideal book for you.
