Monopoly: Adventure Time Collector's Edition

My son collects Monopoly Games and he loves Adventure Time.. So when I saw this game..I knew he would love this game.. Excellent fun version of monopoly to play. We have played this several times and its very fun to play. Good quality pieces, the cards are nice and the board is excellent to look at. I would recommend this game to someone that likes Monopoly but wants something different. Get it before its hard to find, it is a collectors edition..

This version of monopoly is easily my favorite! I have a few other collectors sets, but this one is by far the funnest version! :3 all of the tiles and such are from the show and used well, the character pieces are cute and fun! I have a large group of friends who watch the show as well and they loved it! I would recommend this to anyone who has watched/enjoyed the show or read the comics!! :3 A few non-critical, personal things I would have changed: The jail system. . . where is the lemongrab reference? :c ONE MILLION YEARS DUNGEON!!!!!!! I would have preferred a gunter piece over a tree trunks piece. . . meh Ill take Finn and Jake's treehouse over candy kingdom any day. switch it up. soooo, now I need a gender bender, Fionna and Cake version? I got this for my 10 year old son for christmas 2013 and he LOVES IT!! It gets played every few days. Its a grate mathmatics tool, as we get him to work out how much change he is to get and how much rent to pay. The figures arre decent enough to tell who they are but for such small tokins you're not going to expect anything amazing, still they are pretty cute. A bit sad that Marceline was not in there but tree trunks was.. that doesnt make much sense to me. I use it for my 4 year old daughter to help with her counting skills as well, getting her to count out the spaces that we need to move around the board. All in all I think that this was probably one of the best gifts I have ever brought for him!

The Adventure Time Monopoly is not perfect, but definitely close! Our family thinks Spongebob Monopoly was pretty perfect, so we make some of our comparison to that version in terms of "setting a standard" for Monopoly special editions. Pros: - The overall artwork is very strong and just like the series! - The property tiles are well chosen and thought out and very series specific (Hobo Camp, Fire Kingdom, etc.). Their versions of "railroads", "utilities", etc. are also pretty good. "Jail" and "Free Parking" could be better of course, but we think to keep their copyright they can't change these at all so they are standard. - The "Ooo-Dollars" look great and are series specific with character's pictures on them. You do have to get used to different colors though (blue bills are not worth $50, which are instead now purple, etc.). One other review said no money was included, that must have just been their box. There are enough "slots" in the money holder so that each bill gets its own place. - The "chance" and "community chest" cards are funny and showed a lot of creativity. Most of them relate to a specific episode of the show. Even though those cards are not shown in the standard product description pictures above (as of May 2013) they are definitely included in the set, so nothing is missing. Cons: - Instead of houses you get green houses they call treehouses, and they call the hotels "castles", but they are just yellow hotels. So really, these are just different colored standard monopoly pieces no matter what you call them. In Spongebob Monopoly, they made real pineapple shaped houses and krusty krab shaped hotels. I could live with just green houses, but hotel shaped castles is pretty lame given the high cost of this edition. How hard is it to make a castle look like a castle??? - Smaller board. The board is slightly smaller than regular Monopoly boards (by about an inch on each side), so for example when you try to put four houses on a property there is not enough space to fit them all in a straight line as in most older monopoly editions. I'm sure they did this just to save money. - Character tokens. You only get six tokens (Spongebob monopoly had seven), and they are a little small and not as detailed as past editions. You are also missing some good characters here. No BMO token, no Gunter, no Lemon Grab, etc. Overall, those characters are a little underutilized given their popularity, especially Lemon Grab who is reduced to pretty much just a chance card. Unacceptable! Overall a good/fun version, but for what you pay for it they cut some corners we think need to be pointed out. Wait for the cost to come down a little, or just know what you're getting if you decide you can't wait! 4 1/2 bro hugs out of 5.

This Adventure Time Monopoly was a gift for my friend so that she could play with her daughter. When we opened it for the first time it was really awe striking. They did a really amazing job. The pieces are so incredibly cute and the board is so beautifully printed. The money are printed all different colors. We loved all the little details. Of course the same rules apply, but those are also printed in an Adventure Time way. What a great purchase. Needless to say we all absolutely fell in love with the version of Monopoly and really don't want to play any other.

This Monopoly is really great, however the tokens look like CRAP! Ugh, what happened to the token machine to make them look sooooo baaaad???!!!! I can't even believe they would think to okay the tokens and ship them off to customers. There is like dust or something collected on them and the actual gray part of the token is deformed. It's weird. It's just so weird. Super weird. But the game was fun. I do wish the writing side of the 'chance/community chest' cards were a bit more color conscience instead it's just a tan color with fin's handwriting.

Monopoly is a fun classic game! Adventure Time is an awesome funny cute show! I love how they have a collectors edition! The only complaints I have are the quality of the tokens (doesn't look we'll like the characters) like they're worn, and that there's no Marceline token. But other than that, it's fun!

This was my birthday present to me and it is Algebraic! The artwork is great. I would have chosen different character pieces for the game because Treetrucks is unstable and LSP looks messed up. Also I was a bit sad that the houses and hotels were just normal house pieces but it's a small matter. The money is funny and I love the cards. It relates directly to the show which made playing this with friends that much better. Totally worth it!
