SalomonMen's Sonic Aero Running Shoe

I've been a Salomon fan for many years now because they fit my feet really well and have been super durable. My first pair of XA Pro 3D GTX lasted for almost 2.5 years of daily use. Without question I ordered another XA Pro 3D GTX. I have probably owned 4-5 pairs of those now, as well as several other models of road/cross running shoes. The last few pairs of XA Pro 3D GTX's have worn out very quickly though. The stitches on the seams has come undone, the tread has worn down in <9 months, and the rubber soles have separated from the shoe. It all made me start to consider abandoning Salomon because I feared their quality was starting to go downhill. However I took a chance and bought this pair of shoes, and boy am I glad I did.I use these shoes as my workout and running shoes. I lift weights in them twice per week at the gym. I run a few times per week outside as well. I live in the Seattle area, so I've run these through water and all sorts of stuff. I liked how light these ones were but was worried that due to the thinner materials used that they'd tear of wear out even faster than the XA Pro 3D's I've had. I realize that I wear these shoes less, but considering that even, these shoes have still held up much better.They are comfortable to wear, have good cushion and support, and are lightweight. I am really pleased with them and am glad to see that Salomon is making quality products even though there have been a few bumps. I would recommend these shoes especially.

Need a way to determine a better overall fit and shoe size

The toe is a little narrow but not too bad, the tongue is neoprene and it attaches right in the arch of your foot which takes some getting used to. The color that I got on sale was obnoxious but it will be fine after I get used to it. They're pretty comfortable but honestly I expected more from Solomon. They seem well made.

I was under the impression that these shoes would be new. There is dirt on both and something stuck on the bottom of the left shoe. There is no signs of wear and I trust Salomon but didn’t expect this. If there is a good explanation I will change my rating, if possible.

This shoe is great but when comparing it to other Salomon shoes it is not my favorite. The " sock " in it creates a bump that is a bit uncomfortable to me. Light weight and overall good. I'll stick with my X-Screams.

It’s a $50 pair of shoes not $150 so can’t have to high expeditions. Worth the money.

This is the best fitting running shoes I've ever bought by far. I purchased a size 9 and it is absolutely comfortable. I do a lot of running and I would recommend this shoes for anyone. It really holds your feet in place to avoid any movement that would increase the risk of a sprin ankle. Excellent shoes. I love it.
