Eyemazing: The New Collectible Art Photography

This is a rather large book, a lot more than I expected. The images presented are diverse in their subject and most are very thought provoking. If you like the magazine you will love the book. I routinely turn to this volume for inspiration, it delivers in that department. The majority of the featured images are edgy and mysterious, but that is the point of the book. If you are looking for Ansel Adams, this isn't your book. In my opinion the quality justifies the price.

I wanted to like this book, but will be sending it back--the "shock value/creep factor" is just too high for my personal taste. Before buying, I would recommend that you look at the sample images on Amazon, and if you love them, you will love this book.I found it interesting that, although this is a collection of the work of a large number of photographers, if someone had told me they were all made by the same artist, I would have believed it, as there is a certain sameness to all of the images--perhaps it is the same dark sensibility that permeates all the photographs, the sense of death, if you will.The included essays in this book, do seem well written, and if it weren't for the fact that I won't be keeping this book, I would enjoy reading all of them.

Eine gute Zusammenfassung aller Künstler der vergangenen Eyemazingausgaben. Ob bei allen Künstlern immer die besten Bilder ausgewählt wurden, darüber kann man sicherlich streiten. Aber insgesamt ein wertiges Buch mit interessanten Aspekten und vielen interessanten Fotografen
